Maeghan Scott, junior guard at Sam Rayburn HS in Pasadena, scored her 1000th point as a varsity player last night in Sam Rayburn's victory over Pasadena. I know I am biased, but she is a good student, a great kid, and truly a role model for kids who believe they can be a great athlete AND good person. Congratulations, Maeghan!

Due to a last minute cancellation, Sam Rayburn HS in Pasadena needs a game either on Monday December 20 or Tuesday Dec 21. We are limited to traveling 75 miles from Pasadena, but several schools in Southeast Texas fall within that range. We have 4 teams - Varsity, JV, 9A and 9B - but are willing to play any combination. Thanks everyone. Gotta give the credit to the girls, though. It doesn't matter who the coach is, if he doesn't have girls that are dedicated and willing to work, nothing else matters. I'm very proud of them.

Coach Penny is a class act. When I coached at Warren, he always had time to help out with scouting reports, etc on teams I would be facing - except EC, of course. I hate to see him go, but I hope he enjoys his free time - he's earned it. Good luck to you coach!!!!

A team dropped out, so Coach Hall is trying to replace it. Coaches got a tentative bracket, but I probably shouldn't post it until she's told us it's the final version.

Can anyone tell me anything about them? Players, style of play, etc? ???
