Their first warmup, as fast as the pitcher was, the catcher seemed even faster back. Her throw down to 2nd was a BULLET - flat and on target. I'd be hard pressed to say I've seen that throw watching WCWS etc.

Soccer - even just this year played for the SLC title.  It's been steadily improving over it's short existence.

I think they're doing pretty good while trying to get their first season going.  I don't know but without having your first ever team on campus yet it's tough to have enough "helpers" to run a big camp.

Congrats to the Beaumont Breakers G U13 D2 team.  They played tough at the state tournament in San Marcos.  They won games 1 and 2 but lost game 3 Sunday 1-0 and ended up getting 3rd place by point system.  They battled very well.

I guess I gotta add that Jeff Conway over at Sam was a real good receivers coach for us during the Alborn years.

K. Smith was a nice surprise.  I gotta give the Sparks young man a couple of stars on some of his put coverages.  But... Hmmmm. 

He may not want it to go away.  It's a minor infraction that's getting press across the country.

Here are a couple of Pics from the 1989 season (vs SFA and vs SHSU).  Definitely more than 1000 people That card has been more than overplayed.  I think they wanted to shoot the patient before he fully woke up. [Hidden Content] [Hidden Content] Lamar did not have good attendance that's for sure but it wasn't as bad as it's being billed. Let's see, they killed football in 1989 because the people in the stands in the pics above really aren't there.  But why did they kill softball in 1987 ?  They gave the program 5 years and then quit on them too. I'm glad that era is over  :) As for FBS, I'd like to see it at some point.  I've always thought SBC is a better fit for us initially if that chance came up in a few years.

LU is 24-4 against Kingsville.  Last played in 1998 with a win.  Last loss to Kingsville was 12/2/1963

LU was 1-aa playoff eligible 82-89.  But only "at large" eligible 87,88,89 due to not being in a conference for football.

On "Most Passing Attempts Allowed" it looks like their 332 on 11 games is about average for NCAA: [Hidden Content] Remember before the early 80's and the Run-N-Shoot and Spread offenses began rolling strong, the running game was the mainstay.

42 - 7 halftime  GSU KO return for TD I haven't seen an injury but I've only watched the 2nd Q (ESPNU)

Is there a "line" on stuff like this  :) Let's see, I predict GSU - 1 knee, 1 concussion, 4 minor injuries                           Bama - 3 minor injuries Hopefully I'm wrong on the knee and concussion - kind of don't like making these types of prediction but yet it is kind of fun.  The game will get ugly but I don't think the injuries will be as bad as some may think.

Im betting he already knows and already knew but didn't want to show his cards before this game.

I watched this game on the "All Access" stream.  First time I've used that.  That's a great feature.  I wanted to head out there but couldn't.

I'm glad to see they're probable for return.  I didn't know how bad each were and was wondering.
