Are we seriously blaming Nick Saban??? If the kid is in the dog house, then he needs to stop doing the things that are getting him there!  Kid has an unbelievable opportunity and is throwing it away because he can't follow rules.  Changing schools will not fix that problem.  Grow up, mature and work your butt off on the field and off.  If you are doing those things and it's not working out, sure, transfer.  But don't bring your bad habits to another school and then blame it on that coach too.

Fields didn't have a choice in the matter as he was thrown off the team.  Hopefully he got the help he needed to get control of his "issues".  A change of scenery alone will not fix the problem.  I understand transferring because you get beat out by an underclass man and you want playing time or your home sick, I get that.  No way TB should transfer if it's his choice.
Talent will only carry you so far.  TB has the world in his palms and he could throw it all away behind poor decision making.  Like another poster said, most of us have never been in his position and that is 100% correct.  Most of us were not born with the athletic gifts from God that TB was born with and he has worked hard to get to Bama.  But that is not an excuse to mess it up. Those kids have an amazing support structure at those schools.  Schools are investing a lot of money into these kids are doing everything they can to ensure the kids graduate with a degree and set them up for success in life.  TB has to practice, study and stay out of trouble.  Cmon man, is it really that hard to do?

PNG should know alot about overconfidence.  Six years in a row, PNG lost to Nederland.  Wow!

There calling that int the play of the game? I respectfully disagree! It's the play of the week for sure but the play of the game was the 3rd and 8 conversion from Mitch to Fisher to set up the winning field goal.  If they don't convert there, then Nederland most likely punts and who knows what the outcome would of been.

Can someone please teach these officials what pass interference is. Mayfield made a great read on Giblins pass route and then become the route runner and had perfect position on the ball. In fact Giblin pushed him in the back to prevent the int and they called it on Mayfield. Mayfield were not mad at you keep doing your thing! We will eventually come across an official who knows the rule. I hope!!!!!

How about that call by Faircloth on the double reverse play? It was 2nd and goal from the 4 and it turned into 3rd and goal from the 15.  Resulted in no points. You know your not going to catch a discipline team like Nederland out of position.  Thanks Brandon!

The best way to beat a press is with spacing and passing, not a whole lot of dribbling needed. If English could get his team to the 3rd round in the playoffs with Kirby Hanley(sp) as point guard, he can find someone in this group to do the same.

Defense made adjustments at half time and held Vidor to 9 points in the 2nd half.  We changed our defense for this game because of Vidor offense, but we still need work on that side of the ball.  QB play was terrific tonight.  It has been awhile since we have had this good of a QB.  No disrespect to recent qb's but the best I have seen since Hood.

Winner of tomorrow's game can claim a district co- championship even though they both lost to Nederland. UIL only recognizes record for district titles but uses head-to-head to determine seeding.

The ole "snatch defeat from the jaws of victory" saying.  This is what happens when you are in the midst of a 20 something game losing streak... you find ways to lose games.  Anyway, dont know how the rest of the schedule looks but at least they were competitive in this one.  Going to take a lot of work and patience to turn the program around.  Keep your head up and keep working hard and before you know it, you will start getting the results you want in the end.  Either that or schedule sabine pass in the preseason.  Know where you come from, because you cant get to where you want to go if you dont know where you come from.  However hard you think you were working the last couple of seasons wasnt enough... you are not working hard enough now.  If you want to change it, do more, because its not enough.  Good luck Raiders... I will leave you with this... its a quote from Jim Valvano who was a basketball coach at NC State and it goes something like this... "Dont give up, Dont ever give up".  I would encourage all of you to watch the whole speech.
