  1. I think he needs an OC and a real QB coach with QB expereince. M. Burnett is a good coach but we cant all last forever. When he leaves (im not saying I want him to) Id like to see Long get a shot to prove himself as our HC maybe get DL as our QB coach or OC maybe wishful thinking. I will support MB until he is no longer our coach. Unless you guys will let us borrow Nuemwn for 5- 10 years...........LOL
  2. They should have never let Mike Long leave. Whatever it took kept him here were he belongs. Not saying it woulda made a difference. He would have definatly made our QBs better than they have been since he left. We are seriously lacking in that dept. We need an OC really bad. Our defense hasnt been the usual hard hitting defense were acustumed to. I will be there the rest of the season right there with my Indians. Loosing a few or all will not break me. My old school did not have but three sports. Its hard to realize when you been here your whole life that you have something so special. Its such an awsome experience to be at a PN-G football game. You Indian fans are by far the greatest in Texas.
  3. How crazy things haave been its hard to say but PN-G gave it up tonight Im not sure that Livingston is all that good as much as we were all that bad tonight
  4. I see you forgot Nederland I think for now they are the team to beat
  5. You cant win every year (unless your WO-S or Newton or any other team with great coaches) so good luck Indians the rest of the season see you at the game
  6. I think the play calling was mixed up more but sacked for 12 yard loss on 2nd and 1 inside their 25. I guess you cant have it all. Oh well maybe we expect to much because its PN-G. I still love em see you at the game next week
  7. Might be a good IDEA....................LOL
  8. PN-G is not playing good football. We were beat in every area of the game. Good luck guys the rest of the season. We will be playing alot better teams than this one from here on out. I wish I had some bright spots to talk about.
  9. LR1969 I would not dog you to me tradition is more than just winning and you spoke of just the winning part of it so I say you are accurate on what you said. PN-G is not the top winning program in the area. Our atmosphere is unmatched in this area and so is our fan support. I like this topic it makes for good reading and is full of different veiws who is probably all right in one form or another
  10. I am PN-G first and foremost and we lost fair and square my close family is from Nederland and I will support them from here on out with my Indians. I cant complain about getting our butts kicked by a good team I believe some of your teams will see just how good Nederland can be in the next few weeks. Congrats to all Nederland on your win hope you finish strong and go deep.
  11. Great topic. Tradition is here at PN-G at Nederland its exceptional at WO-S and Definitely at Newton. There is a common theme here that helps the programs with tradition and the ones like Lumberton who is in the beginning of new tradition. Vidor has its own type of non-traditional tradition that makes it special to all of Vidor's fans and alumni that they are proud of. I believe that the common theme is us its you and me and Texas football. I come from a school that only played basketball and track and baseball there was no band or friday night lights. The first PN-G game I went to blew me away I would have never understood the compassion of the fans and the amount of support that is here at PN-G for there beloved Indians. Win or loose they are there. I could not understand how a town of 13000 and 17000 could put 50,000 fans in the stands. In 1999 how did we sale out half of the Atrodome. Tradition is built over time. The neat thing about Friday Night Lights is that all the building blocks for tradition is here there are places in this country were they could not build tradition if they wanted. We are fortunate we have the chance to start new traditions if we dont have them. Im glad to see Lumberton receiving the support of there community I hope all schools get that. Does tradition really play a role? Ask the students and fans of some other local schools would or do they like traveling to the Reservation to play on Friday Night. Do they want to play one of the other tradition rich schools in SETX at there home stadium. If they beat one of them does it make it more special for there school. If you wonder about tradition ask any person from PN-G about it. I am only speaking for my school but make no mistake there are many others here in this area and each is different and special in its own way
  12. High school has become a platform for all kinds of revenge for kids and parents who did not get there way
  13. I think he coaches with his father at Kelly Not 100% sure though also think he has his on gutter buisness. Should be in the NFL somewere.
  14. Nederland ------PN-G its mid county madness babbbyyyyy
  15. Since Port Neches-Groves powered by Dustin Long marched to the State Championship for PN-G's 6th trip I believe (correct me if Im wrong) to the Texas title game. What a year that was. I know you WO-S fans remember all to well you gave us our only defeat until we played Stephensville. I will never forget that feeling of being there with my 5year old son, my father, and my grandfather 4 generations of Indian fans at there State title game. This was a special event for my family. There has been a member of my family at every state championship game PN-G has ever played, and at the 1999 game we were all there at once. This is what Texas High School Football is all about............... Sorry for rambling just thought Id share a thought. Good Luck to all this weekend and I hope for no injuries. Get em Indians
  16. LC-M drives to the 50 then Fumbles to the Indians PN-G drives to the LC-M 25 and fumbles back to LC-M
