  1. Yes, the stadium is in HAMSHIRE...(there is no "P" in Hamshire). If you are coming I-10 from Beaumont, take the Hamshire Rd exit, turn left at the stop sign and follow Hamshire Rd to Longhorn Stadium (the stadium will be on your right...you can't miss it). Second street is the address of the school and the stadium can be accessed that way as well, it's just easier to get to by going I-10 and taking the Hamshire Rd. exit. I'm horrible with directions but I hope that helped! GO HORNS!!!!!
  2. got to go with coach mangan from h-f.. hes got our boys closer together than they have ever been and they are a lot more competitive than they have been in quite a few years...and they are now looking at a playoff spot
  3. id like to see H-F play Brenham since the AD coached there for 13 years and has a son playing there now and Lumberton in a game rather than a scrimmage. i like the EC matchup
  4. ok, ok...so I have to admit, although I don't have a "high pitched grandma voice", I am guilty of yelling "get him" but let me explain this please... My son plays defense and when I'm yelling, and happen to yell out "get him", it's not because I don't think the defensive players don't know what to do, it's just something I'm actually thinking but saying out loud. The same is true when offense is running the ball and you hear the crowd yelling, "go, go, go", as if the runner didn't know that was his job. I guess if you start thinking about the things fans yell out, anything can sound stupid if you think about the literal meaning of it. Reality is, we are fans, moms, dads, grandparents, etc, and yelling things like "get him", "go, go, go", or "catch the ball", is our way of expressing our encouragement for our kids. So, try not to be so hard on us moms out there, if makes us feel good to yell those things...lol!
  5. I agree...our EC neighbors will have the win on this one! GO BUCS!!
  6. yes he is, and although our defense is doing great, our kids miss him very much...he's a great coach and good for the kids, glad he's doing a great job for you at PN-G!
  7. People just don't understand how close this new AD has brought the HF team together. These guys are on top of their game, they have heart and more spirit than I've seen in the past years...my HF boys have this one!
