  1. Not necessarily...don't you have to look at the position they play? What if a jr. is good enough to be on varsity, but a sr. already has his position locked. The jr. probably wouldn't see much playing time unless the sr. is injured or the team gets a big lead and they put in the backups (and sometimes another senior is also a backup). Is it better for the jr. to be on varsity and not play much or to be on JV where he plays every down (unless they get a big lead) and gets the experience? I realize that varsity is a step up from JV...just curious as to what you would do because that was the situation with some of those jr's who played on jv this year.
  2. Good idea to do the charter buses. Not a bad deal. And you can pump each other up on the way there ;D. And I agree, give the boys a great send off...they deserve it!
  3. Does Dayton have many BB boys still playing football? I know Dugat is but wasn't sure of the others.
  4. We do have our football boys back but we still have a young team. 3 seniors...2 of them, Jonathan Ward and Aaron Credeur returning from last year's Varsity and 1 junior returning...Andrew Hall. Those are the ones I know for sure returning. The rest will be juniors from last years JV and possibly a couple of sophomores who have been playing varsity while the football boys were out. Today is the first practice with all the boys so we'll have to see who stays on varsity and who moves down to JV.
  5. I have to agree with what raiderfamily said about being critical of everyone who left...for instance...I personally know people who HAD to leave early last night. One guy had been up since 3:30 Fri morn and had to get up again at 3:30 Sat morn to go to work...time became his enemy. He waited as long as he could but, not knowing what the traffic would be like when everyone left, he opted to leave right after our last touchdown. He did not want to leave but had no choice as he needed to get home and grab a couple hours sleep before work. His friend that rode with him, naturally, had to leave also. Now, this guy is one of the truest fans we have. Never had a son play, but has only missed very few if any games in years. He has been there thru thick and thin with the Raiders and will continue as long as he is able. Now, I can't speak for anyone else as to why they left, but just know that some people had legitimate reasons.
