He played on a team from 20-4A...he said PNG played and talked the dirtiest. (PNGproud thought my post was funny  ::)). Anyway, seems like maybe the guy knew what he was talking about after all...

I don't see LCM getting cocky or getting the bighead...what I do see is people who have seen both LCM and PNG play saying LCM should win...

Every game is a fight in this district this year and no team should be judged by their records nor overlooked. Lumberton may lose, but it won't be because they are looking past Nederland. Lumberton is capable of beating Nederland...just depends on which Lumberton team shows up to play. We can't have the turnovers we had against PNG. IMO, that was a major factor in the score in that game...5 turnovers...some when we were (probably) about to score. Or turning it over giving them excellent field position. Can't do that and expect to win or even stay close as the score showed. From what I hear, Nederland's defense has problems too. If Lumberton can cut out the turnovers and penalties, it may be another game like Livingston. Down to the wire and hopefully Lumberton on the winning side ;D

Even though PNG put up close to the same numbers against Lumberton as LCM, I, for one, was more impressed with the way LCM played as a whole. Add the fact that Lumberton had 5 turnovers (everyone knows you don't usually win with that many turnovers)...one giving PNG excellent field position which resulted in a PNG score and at least 2 when Lumberton was close to the endzone. Not saying that Lumberton would've won, just pointing out that LCM, Central, and the others probably won't have that many turnovers. Should be good games when PNG faces LCM and Central.

The game was OVER, people on both sides were leaving...I bet no one was paying attention to what the other side was doing at that point. There had been a tribute before the game. I, for one, didn't know another tribute was being done until I was out of the stands and walking to the parking lot. If there was an announcement saying it was being done, I didn't hear it. And there were many LCM fans walking out with me, are you going to say they were classless also for walking out during the tribute? Each team usually plays their school song after the game. I'm sure that was all the band director had in mind. And, if you watch the interview KFDM did with Coach Crouch, I believe you can hear the tribute song being played in the background. Someone correct me if I'm wrong about that...but SURELY you wouldn't say Coach Crouch was being classless by being interviewed during the tribute???
