  1. I stand by my statements and will be here on Saturday to remind you of what I said. I have seen this team plenty of times and have never been really impressed. They tend to dry up under pressure and that is why the second round is a black hole for Crosby. This Jasper team is no joke and Crosby will be in for a fight on Friday. Finesse teams usually don't do too well in dog fights and this will be one for sure. In other news, will this game be available to be streamed online? I know there is a radio broadcast, but will internet broadcast be available?
  2. Don't be surprised when Jasper wins this one. Despite the hype, Crosby is only a shell of what they have been the past couple of years. The RB is solid, but everything else is suspect. The QB has yet to prove he can actually play and the receiver that was mentioned is just a decent player. These guys have proven over the years to be nothing more than weight room heroes. They run fast on the track, they utilize social media to make sure everyone thinks they're special, and they play cheesy videos at their home games to try and create a college-like atmosphere. As far as the substance on the football field, it's often pretty average. Crosby has never proven that they can play any defense at all and that is what will get them beat on Friday. I think Jasper will punch them in the mouth and run the ball for as much as they want whenever they want it. I think this unproven Crosby offense will prove to be anemic in the passing game allowing Jasper to stack the box and contain the RB. If you force the QB to throw, you will quickly learn that he cannot do it. Jasper wins by a touchdown and sets Crosby up to have a 6-4 year.
  3. Lord have mercy. Same space?! Geez.
  4. One of the top three jobs in the nation and no one can argue that if Texas wins a very winnable big 12, they will always be in the college football playoff.
  5. Don't underestimate the impact that Brian Barbay will have on that Jasper offense. His move from Newton to Jasper could be a huge difference maker for the bulldogs.
  6. What other offers? When UT calls, you answer. He has a chance to play for one of the premier programs in the nation, under one of the premier coaches in the nation. This is a no brainer and I look forward to cheering for this kid for the next 6 years or so!
  7. If I were a coach or teacher, I wouldn't touch Kirbyville with a 10 foot pole right now.
  8. I thought that was what was happening!!! Great to hear!
  9. Who is Newton losing?
  10. Kirkland? You mean the guy the fine members of the Jasper community cussed at as he left the field a few years ago after losing a hard fought game in the playoffs? Coach Kirkland is doing fine and is better off out of Jasper, but unfortunately you are still there. Coach Barbay has it under control, if he needs poorly worded and spelled opinions I am sure he will reach out to you.
  11. If that's the case, then why did he take the job in the first place? Nothing you mentioned is the fault of the kids there who undoubtedly are gutted that their coach chose to leave them in the lurch. No matter who they hire this late, they will get the short end of the stick during the upcoming season. You can't defend Dale here. If the money is an issue, wait until next year or leave in March like everyone else. Do not leave in July!
  12. Yes he did. As I said earlier in this thread, to leave this late for an assistants gig is garbage. He did this same thing to Kountze once. No one should hire this man for a head job ever again!
  13. Hurry up and hire Deweyville! You've obviously already got your guy.
  14. And by "sit out" I mean coach QBs at Newton.
  15. Neece would be a steal, but I can't see him up rooting this late in the year. If he sits out a year, he can pick his small school job next offseason.
  16. Has to be someone on staff....or a hometown guy.
  17. Kinda sorry to leave this late.....especially for an assistants gig.
  18. WOS should never have to leave the triangle to fill that schedule. Between PNG, Central, Westbrook, Nederland, Lumberton, Vidor, Jasper, and PAM, someone should be willing to play WOS yearly. If I was PNG, this game would always be on my schedule. Why is everyone so afraid of the competition?
  19. Oh crap, I posted before reading the article. He's heading to BC as an assistant baseball and football? What gives?
  20. Would you guys consider this a step up or down? I am not trying to start a war, just genuinely curious.
  21. Where's he at?
  22. Nobody is talking about Obama except you and your crew. I didn't vote for Obama either time so I am lost as to why you guys keep pointing back to him as justification for your argument.
  23. If your asking if "New Tobie" and I are the same person, the answer is no. I am not him and have my own opinions. I have said before, I have no liberal party affiliation. This isn't ok for you because, in your world, you are either conservative or liberal and that's what shapes you. In reality, if you cannot stand back and see Donald Trump as the ignorant, arrogant, immoral, lying, cheat that he is, then you are the one blinded by your bias. He is everything I have asserted him to be and your only rebuttal to that is that I am supposedly a liberal. You say I have a liberal media bias as you eat Cheetos, watch Fox News and read Breitbart.
  24. I'll address your dribble in the order you spit it: 1) Immoral/Unscrupulous: "Grab her by the p....", multiple extramarital affairs, a blatant liar who continues to lie to cover up lies, see entire feuds with both Rosie O'Donnell and Megan Kelly 2) Evil: Blatant disregard for human life, enciting crowds to riotous levels by suggesting that Bowe Berhgdal be killed for deserting his unit, And the immigrants I was talking about were never intended to be those illegals that you are concerned with. I guess a better term would be "refugees" who Trump shows no regard for as he tries to block them from entering our country seeking asylum from the atrocities they are suffering in Syria. To dismiss them, as if they were dogs, is the antithesis of that which was taught by Christ. Christians should be the first ones welcoming them to our shores and working to meet their needs. Instead, believers are too worried about who is a terrorist and who is not to have compassion for the 99.9% of them who have no ties to terror at all. Christ said that in order to serve Him we must "lose our lives". While that has a metaphorical connotation it is actually very literal. We serve Christ even though it may endanger us and even though it may cost us our lives. Lots of folks have lost sight of that and have no problem shedding the blood of others to ensure that our lives are preserved. And this same argument applies to illegal immigrants. I am in favor of the law, but the "hate" (an attribute that you have tried to assign to me) that I see in those conversations from believers really strikes me as foul. It's obvious that some of us have forgotten our status as trespassers and transgressors, so much so that we want to level greater punishments on others than we would ever level upon ourselves. And no one ever called you a bigot, racist, or deplorable. That is something you have derived from the "liberals" that you obviously loathe, and which I am not to be classified as. However, you have determined that anyone who disagrees with your right wing, America worshiping Christianity is a "liberal nutjob". Carry on brother, I pray you see the error in your ways.
