  1. Watched Caldwell play in the first round a few weeks ago. Senior dominate team. Four of the boys have started on varsity since they were freshmen. Catcher is solid behind plate. He signed with Texas Lutheran University. Head Coach's son is at shortstop. Their best pitcher was injured most of the season. He took the mound late in district. He threw a complete game against Luna High School in the first round. Good location but not over powering.

I am hoping after I watch my grandsons play their 7th grade games in Port Neches,  I was hoping to catch this game.  Does anyone know what campus and time they play.  This should be a great game, I also understand that it is for the district Championish.

    7th grade b team at 4:30, 7th grade a team at 5:30, 8th grade b at 6:30 and 8th grade a at 7:30 all at the Dawg Dome
  3. PNG looked good in the first half....why don't more kids play varsity basketball at PNG.....they did not have enough kids to bring off the bench to give the starting five some rest.....I thought that was the difference.....Nederland has 15 or 16 kids on varsity......plenty of kids to bring off the bench for some quality minutes
  4. Truly did not mean to cause such controversy....I don't post much at all.....just trying to have fun with a possible upset....I think Nederland White might be able to beat Lumberton........ if they play a good game.....they have a good team......total speculation on my part......never meant anything ugly nor would I call someone out....Jathen Garrett......727-3091 home or 962-1964 work ....email [email protected] addresss 2821 10th Street Port Neches, Texas...........please contact me if you like.......

  5. Way to go Mr. Mosley... I could not agree more..

I agree...Nederland should pack the dome Friday night with dry erase boards that all have positive messages to support to DAWGS....I am not talking about students only.....ALL fans!  What a great year for hoops!! ...... Playoffs, 20 win season, beat the State Champs in the YMBL....fantastic...I hope Nederland packs the house to come watch these boys play some great hoop...the dawg dome should be rock-in Friday night!!!!

  6. Well, HF Little Dribblers got it wrong tonight.  Allstar selection in the major division was a disgrace.  Anyone who was there knows what I'm talking about.

I have been around a few allstar selection meetings and have found that usually the top eight picks for the team are relatively easy; however, the last two picks for the team are always challenging.  Sometimes the last picks are based on maturity levels of the child or how coachable the child is.  My brother once coached a little dribblers team and did NOT put in son up for the Allstar team, which I have admired him for eversince.  Hope things smooth over out in HF........just a little dribbler dad...
