  1. Actually if you read todays Beaumont Starship Enterprise, the Offenses are identical for Livingston and Vidor. BTW, although not the marquis players like Mr. Quinton over there in Livingston, they do use multiple backs. You actually believe stuff you read from the Beaumont surprise sports section? Kinda like actually believing stuff you read in Dave Campbell magazine
  2. TRUE FEARLESS PREDICTIONS WEEK 5 20-4A GAME OF THE WEEK Vidor vs Lumberton The Pirates sail the Black Pearl into Hardin County to take on the two time defending 20-4A co-district champs. Vidor’s defense gave up huge hunks of yardage and points last week. The Pirates offensive line will be the deflated as the Raiders defense anchored by #49 stare back at them licking their chops. Look for the Pirates to struggle scoring while the Raiders use all offensive weapons to score at will against a suspect Vidor defense. Vidor becomes another district team to come up short in Lumberton the past two years (and counting). Lumberton stays on track to defend its district crown and avenge the only district loss to Vidor last year. TRUE FEARLESS PREDICTION LUMBERTON 42 VIDOR 28
  3. A request of the Vidor Fans... Please don't complain to the Refs that the Lumberton Fans and train horns are to loud. This is call football not tennis or golf!
  4. Can you stop the run? I think he can answer your question better than me!
  5. Yes we can. Correct me if I am wrong but all Vidor does is run the ball. Stop the run and shut down their offense completely. There is no "Plan B" for Vidor. Lumberton got some good film and expirence from Livingston with the mis-direction running they do (just like Vidor). We are young on defense but they have learned alot in four games this year. Looking at the Vidor opponets scoring, the defense is suspect. Lumberton will stop the run and the L-Train will keep on chugging away.
  6. Attention Vidor fans....... [move]PLEASE PUT DOWN THE DAVE CAMPBELL MAG, I repeat, PLEASE PUT DOWN THE DAVE CAMPBELL MAG[/move] You will be facing the toughest defense you have seen this season. Good luck and stay healthy.
  7. This board is great, most are picking Vidor to win over the defending district champs. Lumberton will have a secret weapon for this game................ We are going to borrow Livingston's game announcer and let her yell and scream at Vidor all night long!! (If you have not played in Livingston yet, you won't understand - just wait) Lumberton 45 Vidor 21
  8. Yeah its out in Lumberton and Silsbee I know for sure. This stinks!!!!!
  9. Anybody got in touch with Time Warner and get an update on when serive wil return?
  10. Here is a couple favorites All photos can be found at HERE Yes it was a 15 yarder but he got a 2 for 1 deal.
  11. After watching both teams, BH should be favored to win against Dayton. BH is much more athletic of a team.
  12. Who could pick against the L-train? We gotta keep our streak in tact - Lumberton has NOT lost a non-district game since Coach C has taken over. Last non-district loss was in 2005. I'll call it .... Raiders 35 Tigers 14 in the Village Creek Classic!
  13. He got trip up coming thru the line and tried a spin move. He got to meet #35 (again)
  14. On Saturday morning I will post a similar sequence except it will be a purple player with a horseshoelooking like #60 hitting his backside. I am bias but Mr Beard is on another level than other high school seniors this season - WOW!
  15. Lumberton's Anthony Beard (in white practice jersey #35) shows how to shake two blockers and get to the running back. I hope #60 is ok after that play. Pics #8/#9 are my personal favorite. Good Luck in 2009 Lumberton.
  16. Helpful Teaching Tool for Parents In searching for a teaching tool for youth basketball, I found a book called “Perfect Jump Shotâ€. I like the information they had on their website (perfectjumpshot.com) and decided to order the book. All I can say is WOW, this is the information I have been looking for. This book has step by step instruction on developing a consistent, high percentage jump shot. This skill has been lost over the years in today’s game from high school level and down. A great quote used in the book sums it all up - “Great coaches make great teams, great parents make great shooters.†Another hidden advantage to this book, if you have any questions about something in the book, the author has included his telephone number and email address. This really works because I have used both already. *Disclaimer: I am not associated or represent this product in any way. I am just a parent trying to develop my young basketball player and eliminate bad habits along the way. Check it out at perfectjumpshot.comperfectjumpshot.com I am going to post in the youth section also
  17. It wasn't pretty on the Lumberton side...... All Photos are H E R E
  18. Snowing here in Lumberton. Coop what is up with that? I want my sunny and 65 degrees back!
  19. Yes, I understand that only the principal has to make more. But pay for teachers is an issue here. That was my point. If we pay Credeur a huge amount more...I believe it may open a can of worms...we do not need to lose some of the good teachers we have. Some may take offense to this comment but here it goes..... I learned more life lessons about setting goals, teamwork and HARD WORK that has benefited more in my adult life through Lumberton Athletics than thru algerbra / biology / etc classes. And this was when Lumberton was not very good program either. A winning program only helps advance young adults later in life. As far as his pay raise, whatever he reasonably asks for, he should get!!! Sorry to say this but teachers do not put 5, 6, 10 thousands fans in the seats on Friday nights (home AND AWAY games). We have a group of kids coming up in the next few years that will have a chance to go farther than the previous two seasons have gone in the playoffs BUT we will need AC to guide them. Lumberton, please don't let him go without a fight! Heck, lets start a PayPal donation campain, or what ever it takes. I am willing to do what ever are you?
  20. If it is only a money thing, I am positive Lumberton could make / match any salary being offered else where between the school district and private funds. Kinda ironic, just about 365 days ago LaMarque was calling Lumberton "effluent rednecks" prior to our 2nd round game. Now they want to hire one of our "redneck alumni"? Ain't gonna happen, we will take care of our own!!!
