  1. 5-1 Overall 3-1 District - Tied for 1st with Livingston, Central and Nederland (which we hold head to head tie-breakers on Liv and Central)
  2. Great win Raiders and great job by Ryan Hughes leading the team in the 4th quarter! Best stats of the night - NO Raider turnovers and only 3 penalties of 35 yards. How about those Hanna punts? Boooommmming!
  3. Congrats Vidor - Just saw the highlights on the tailgate party, look like those boys really want it this year. Oh and congrats on a good 1st half!
  4. I heard a L-Train off in the distance.......WooWoooooo!! Its on its way!!!!
  5. The hidden beauty in the Vidor defeating Lumberton……. Vidor has taken over the number one position for being the most obnoxious fans on this board. Now everyone else can pile on Vidor fans and we Lumberton fans will sit back and watch. Like I said before - Vidor will have my respect if they pick up wins in mid-county.
  6. yea no joke!!! im waitin on my apology from its all about the u, because i told him vidor would run all over them and he said he would admit it if they did, so im waitin its all about the u :-) Vidor is a good team not sure if they are a playoff team. As far as running all over Lumberton, what game did you watch? Lumberton handled the Pirates in the first half. Lumberton comes out in the second half the at least three of their best players on the sidelines to various reasons. Vidor scored only when Beard was out of the game (all of the 3Q and most of the 4th). I will be convinced Vidor is good playoff team when they go thru mid-county with some wins!
  7. It will depend on who is healthy for the Raiders -Need to see the IR report - If Hanna & Beard are on the sidelines (like the 2nd half of Vidors game) it will a long night. I'm causiously optimistic for a Raider rebound.
  8. Who told you that Lumberton was good? Cause apparently, you were told that yall were good and we weren't. Are you going by records? Yards from Scrimmage? Points allowed? All that good stuff or is it just a gut feeling that you have? Maybe the tooth fairy left a note on your pillow that Lumberton has a good football team? Just wondering where YOU got your info from.. Well lets see -For Lumberton, a team coming off a 3 deep playoff run last year, I have seen all three games in 2008, they get better with each game. Soild team doing many of the things that got them to the playoffs last year. For Vidor, saw the Lum / Vidor game last year (enough said there), for 2008, been watching the opponets and game results (hmmmm). My point to the earlier post was, What is the basis for Vidor folks coming on here and predicting a huge win? I don't get it? IF you were 3-0 and blowing team away I could understand but that has not been the case. I guess a one point loss to Central is a confidence builder. Give me something to try and understand how Vidor will dominate the Raiders.
  9. Just wondering..... Who told Vidor they were good this year?
  10. "Act like you've done it before." - Well now we can say we have done it before and that is what some of the Lumberton faithful are trying to explain on here. Lumberton by 3 TD's
  11. My thoughts exactly - Lumberton / PNG game in a few weeks will decide the district champ. Ned has a shot. Pick a team for the 4th playoff spot and your done.
  12. So what is Dustin Long doing these days? (coaching somewhere?) I always liked the "where are they now" shows / articles of former standout athletes.
  13. Should be much of the same at last years game in Vidor. 2007 Score Lumberton - 33 Vidor - 14 2008 Prediction Lumberton - 35 Vidor - 16
  14. According to the Beaumont Enterprise website it has moved to Thursday night at 7:30pm
  15. From the Beaumont Enterprise Website (Wednesday 9-10-08 at 12:30pm) Hurricane Ike concerns have forced several high school football coaches to reschedule games from Friday to Thursday, but the status of games for Beaumont ISD’s three teams remains unclear. West Brook, Central and Ozen all play Houston area schools, which makes rescheduling more difficult, West Brook coach Craig Stump said. Stump said West Brook will either play or cancel its 7 p.m. Friday home game against Spring Westfield. The game cannot be moved to Thursday because of travel concerns, he said. Central is scheduled to play Friday at home against Galveston Ball and Ozen is scheduled for Saturday at Houston Worthing. Schools close together can more easily reschedule games because there is less travel, Stump said. Port Neches-Groves coach Matt Burnett said his team’s game at Texas City is pushed back a week to Sept. 19. Memorial’s home game against Houston Nimitz is still set for Friday. As for games moved to Thursday, here’s an updated schedule: Nederland at Waller, 6 p.m. Houston Furr at Kelly, 6 p.m. Vidor at Hardin-Jefferson, 6 p.m. West Orange-Stark at Kirbyville, 6 p.m. Orangefield at Liberty, 6:30 p.m. Tarkington at Buna, 6:30 p.m. Cypress Christian at Legacy, 7 p.m. Hamshire-Fannett at East Chambers, 7 p.m. Shepherd at Hardin, 7 p.m. Coldspring at Corrigan-Camden, 7:30 p.m. Hemphill at Deweyville, 7:30 p.m. Kipp Academy at High Island, 7:30 p.m. Little Cypress-Mauriceville at Bridge City, 7:30 p.m. Lumberton at Silsbee, 7:30 p.m. Newton at Diboll, 7:30 p.m. Woodville at Warren, 7:30 p.m. Still set for Friday: Shelbyville at Mount Enterprise, 7:30 p.m.
