I have learned lot about these basketball tryouts throughout these past two months,I spent numerous hours on the road, taking kids back and forth to these so call basketball tryouts. One kid stood out above kids that was six feet tall and over but he was only 5-8, he played his butt off and outplayed the college coaches players he had on scholarships, but after the tryouts, it was told to this young man that he played excellent, but IM SORRY IM LOOKING FOR A TALLER GUARD WITH YOUR TALENT. I can see why so many kids get over looked, all these college coaches want is height. My question to you the fans would you want height or talent on the floor.

People seems to be forgetting about Spikes and Bailey,(Jasper Bulldogs) but I would like to nominate them to get something on this thread.

Thats a god question, because Spikes and Burrell really played well throughout the year, and without these two on their teams, it would not have been a good season for HJ or Jasper.

Im glad we are not getting disrespected, because yes we beat Silsbee when it counted, and without our two-ways stars in the guard position, we would not have gotten that far this year and Silsbee overlooked that, Congrats to HJ on the title run that they put forth, and Silsbee

I am a diehard Spikes and Bailey fan ;D ;D, but I will take my time out to say great season HJ, and keep your heads up good run.

And thats no lie. They can shoot the lights out. Them pull up 15 footers in front of 3 people... Unreal. Great job Hawks way to take care of business in the second half. I was impressed with th shooting of Spikes, Bailey, and Bernard, great game to watch, Bernard knew that if he got into a three point shooting contest with Spikes, and Bailey he would loose, but he did a great job of attacking the basket against the dogs. The coach from HJ took Spikes out of his rhythm in the 3rd and 4th quarter, by following him everywhere he went, and Bailey could get the looks to see where he was in order to get him the ball. Great game HJ and good luck at state and Jasper great run this season. Good luck to the Jasper Seniors.

Congrats on taking your team this far into this hectic season, Spikes, when you broke your thumb, it looked like you thought the world was over, but your cousin Bailey held it down for you will you were out for 6 weeks,alot of these people dont give these kids their respect on this sight, but we as Jasper fans respect what you, Bailey and your teammates have been through. Listen, I watched both sights Eastexsports/and Setxsports, and I watched the way, most of the Silsbee fans and hardin jefferson fans counted us out before we got off the bus, but from what I saw at the game, Jasper played liked they wanted it and Silsbee knew that they had it. Spikes didn't play the first game, because of a broken thumb, and yes you did beat them by 40 points. But tonight Spikes came out on fire and it totally took the fans by surprise. Bailey was off the first half, but came out on fire in the second half. Bronson number 11 played like he was 6-4, I tip my hat off to these young men, but it just goes to show you that anybody can be beat any given night. Congrats Silsbee on a great run. AGGIESAREWE, or as I call you on EastexSports sight MR. We, I need you to go to eastexsports sight and eat crow also.
