1.     This is really a hard pill to swallow, I have seen this kid play numerous times on many occassions, and it really hit me deep, I was not at the game, but I was listening to it on the radio. One of the Jasper announcers got choked up, as he was announing the game, they kept saying something went wrong on ther WOS sidelines, but they never would say what. I hate to hear this, but my prayers goes out to the Garrett family. I have a son that play college football and he knew Reggie, I could not sleep last night knowing that my son will be on the field today, knowing that this could happen to anyone. Rest in peace Reggie.
2. Jeff Spikes                            Burkeville Mustangs
3. As a Jasper fan over the years I have watched this kid play from pee wee all the way to college and now I get to watch him in the Pros. Congrats    SPOON, we are proud of you in JASPER, I predict the first round, my thoughts  would be Arizona, Pittsburgh or Philadephia, and congrats to Earl Thomas Too.
Jasper is not a playoff team. ::) Of course, their district may be very weak so they might make it due to attrition. Silsbee wins this one handily, by 25 or more. One hit wonder, j_dog. ;)
Well one hit wonder you might be correct, but my lil dogs will not lay down, I remember a  certain Aggie saying Jasper will loose to Silsbee by a bunch in Regional, just because they blew jasper out by 50+ in Jasper, Well that is because Bailey had to do it by himself because Spikes had a broken hand. But when it counted Silsbee fans got blew away by the Spikes and Bailey show. So my point to this will be I will bring Spikes and Bailey to the game with me Friday, because they are home for the holidays from college, and Mr. Aggie being the gentleman that you are please pay these young men way into the game, since they stopped the mighty Tigers last year.     ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Can't do it. That would be an NCAA infraction. Unless of course they are not playing college ball. ;) ;D
well they are playing college ball, but thanks anyway  ;D :D

7. I don't think there was a "problem". Jasper had an advantage over WOS going in, and that was having two weeks to prepare. This time around, that advantage switched to Silsbee, and Silsbee almost pulled it off. Some folks made some crazy predictions, but I was not one of the crazies. The game ended just like a Jasper/Silsbee game should. In doubt to the very end. I am delighted that Silbee gave Jasper a good game. The Dogs perhaps needed a little wake-up call of their own that no one is going to just roll over and give them the game. Now on to district. Both teams will have their hands full. For sure Jasper does with the defending state champion in their district. Jasper will have to play just about perfect football just to make the playoffs out of 18-3a. As for the silver platter, when we get it, we keep it! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
8. I am not downing any of the picks you have on this post, but all these kids are good, as best qb after week 4 but the ALVIS kid from JASPER is pretty good

10. I just spoke with Hooks and he said that every once in a while he likes to let a team in the area win one. Next opponet better look out! The Stangs will still win District or come in second. I'm glad you talked to Hooks, but when you talked to him did you ask him to throw in some more plays because, whenever he put Franks at Qb, we all know he gonna run to to the strong side of the field, and when he needed a big play we knew he was going to try to throw deep to him. So all the credit should go to Jasper, and their super quarterback and defense jasper has, when you talk to hooks again tell him Jasper said HI, and thanks for letting ALVIS, make his ranked number 3 Team in the state look like they was lost. Good luck Jasper and W.O.S.
11. Again I must say I went and watched these 4 young men play again Monday, in Marshall, and I am still impress with each and everyone of them, with Kwame Spikes# 3, Trey Burrel #12, and Cameron Burrell#9 back deep on kick off return, and Cameron Stubberfield at QB #4, they are very impressive, these kids outshine everyone on the field before mother nature took over with the lightening and heavy rains hit in the second quarter with 11:51 left on the clock and ended the game. Congrats again to these young men keep it up on the field and in the classroom.
12. Yes (Cameron Burrell) I didnt mean to forget about him, I just couldn't remember his name, he was on almost every tackle, if there was any locals kids I missed please let me know, it was just fun to see these kids play with each other.
13. Well to the surprise of many HJ fans Trey Burrell has teamed up with some Jasper Bulldogs Kwame Spikes and Cameron Stubberfield at East Texas Baptist University and they are looking real good on the football field, Burrell finished the night with 2 catches, one for a 60 yard TD, Spikes had three catches 55 yards, 20 yard punt return, and 20 yard kick off return, Stubberfield, connected on 4 TD's in the air. Congrats to these young men, even though people might say they are playing at a Division 3 school, it was fun to watch these young men have fun. They won 28-17...
14. Jasper's Cedric McGill #11 three interceptions and a win, against the Kirbyville Wildcats
15. Jasper's QB Sam Alvis #5 ran for 165 yards and 4 T.D's in a win over the Kirbyville Wildcats.
16. Good Win Jasper, I saw a shirt in the stands that stated ALVIS for Heisman he played like that, good game SAM and the bulldogs. Go Dogs.
17. As of today, I have not heard of Shannon going anywhere. He did have some opportunities but chose to pass on them. I am not sure what is really going on with Shannon and the next level. ok thanks
