West Sabine has over 30 kids playing baseball this year and at least 10 of them have hit homers. Not having a home field to practice and play on has really hampered the Tigers with their pitching and fielding, they seem to be hitting the ball just fine. Not easy doing all your practices on the football field.

Heard this weekend that Chase Franklin (Coach Franklin's son) was going to school in Evadale and that Coach Franklin was still in Chester. Do the Franklin's live in Evadale's school district or did Chase transfer?

The difference between this game and the last game is the Tigers did not make 7 errors, the coach did not trip a runner rounding 3rd to score and he did not start his #3 pitcher. The Tigers out hit the Jackets the first game also, I'll give the Jackets credit, they are a very good bunting team, four of the jacket hits were bunts. Tough to play small ball when your are behind the whole game. So get ready for the tie breaker game and take your loss like we did the first game and don't make excuses.

Gave up on Flash360 posting his game days scores so I decided to help him out. Tigers defeated the Jackets 6-3 and tied the Jackets for first place in the district. The Tigers played great defense today and had some great baserunning.

You are exactly right football, you don't know the circumstances of the season. I'm talking about the games West Sabine beat other teams by 15 to 20 runs, teams that only won 3 or 4 games all season. And the whole time leaving the starting lineups in. West Sabine never let up until the last inning of every game. You might want to talk to some other coaches of West Sabine's district and see their feelings about the 08 season. But you are right he did take them to State no body's denying that.
