yeah I remember that game also and it was rough, but we stuck it out. We just need to be prepared. If our boys can play in it, we should be there to support them all the way. The Kirbyville fans are a good lot and I proud of them.

Nobody from WO-S is acting like they have one a state title since the back to back ones in the 80's Everyone knows that is ancient history. But they have not lost a district game in about 5 years, and have been to at least the second round for the last 4. 95% of the posters predicting a blow out are not even from WO-S. If you read this board often you would have seen all the WO-S posters concerned about the playoffs on another thread. I think most WO-S people are a little concerned about this game, but confident as every team should be. Coldspring will be no push over. We have to keep playing good defense and keep up what we had Friday on offense. I think we can score on them, they have given up over 24 points a game. We just need to take it one game at a time an avoid being ambushed in round 1. Boy, that sounds really cocky!! : Expectations are always high at WO-S, don't be jealous of that!! No team should expect to lose, they should always expect to do their best and possibly win. I honestly don't think that anyone is jealous of WOS always having high expectations, because other schools have them too. Good luck to Coldspring Trojans and Coach Barbay!! Go expecting to win.

Hey sloyd, do ya think that the walks between the two gates helped us out any? Man I was worn out before the game.

I was told that Kville had sold 1300 tickets prior to game , don't know if that was official. I do agree, there had to be at least 5000 or more there. I also think that there were more for Kville than Newton. I don't even think that our band had a section, I believe that it was taken by fans, am I right? There was a sea of people down by the concession/bathrooms at all times. It was truely amazing. I don't think that I have everrrr heard so many bells ringing at a game before, Love it. We will have to keep it up. Those Wildcats on the field, just loved the noise. Congrats to the Wildcats and good luck to them and the Eagles in their coming playoffs.

yeah, some of us Kville fans have sat in the cold and rain to finish watching the cats play.

Good Morning to all, and yes it is the BIG GAME day!!! I know that all the Newton and Kville fans are just as excited as I am and ready for the game to begin. Can't you just imagine all that adrenaline flowing in both the players and fans alike. I can hear the bells, horns, the bands playing, the smells and all the people that will be there. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else tonight. Putting all the trash talk aside for just a bit, I do sincerely hope that there will be no injuries to any player and that players and fans on both sides will show good sportsmanship. We all have pride and support for our own, but we are neighbors and in some cases have families on the opposite side. NOW, we are all ready for some exciting football!!!!!!!!!! Man I hope I can get a seat! Lets Go Wildcats, lets git r done

When I was in school, rivals would burn their schools letters in the center of our football fields and nothing was done about it. Things never got badly out of hand though. Things like that just made us want to beat them that Friday night. Girls could also walk their boyfriend football player off the field after the game too. Things do change.

Well, I am really concerned about the sitting, with the numbers that will be there. When I looked up their stadium for capacity, it is 1800, and that will NOT sit all or half. I know that Newton wants to retain the home field advantage, but I for one would like to see it moved to a larger stadium. Just wishful thinking. However, I will for sure be there at this game to support the Wildcats

you are right , we don't have a state title to brag about, and there are alot of other teams that don't have one either, But there is a first time for everything even beating Newton. Newton should be proud & I'm proud for them. One thing is for sure, the Wildcats are going to give it their all, especially this Friday night. Go Kville Wildcats your fans are with you all the way.

it doesn't matter whether the cats win by 50 or by 1, a win is a win . Just looking for it to be a good game. Hope that the players and the fans will show good sportsmanship on both sides. Both of these teams have alot to be proud of. Good luck to both teams
