District 20 - 4A (As of 2/9/09) Central 12 - 1 Ozen 11 - 2 Livingston 10 - 3 LCM 6 - 7 Nederland 6 - 7 Lumberton 5 - 8 PNG 2 - 11 Vidor 0 - 13 If Nederland wins they get the 4th spot. If Nederland loses and LCM wins, LCM gets the 4th spot. If Nederland loses, LCM loses, and Lumberton wins then there will be a 3 way tie for the 4th spot. The teams will flip with the odd team getting a bye. The other 2 will play each other with the winner playing the team that got the bye for the 4th spot. Also, if Ozen loses to Central and Livingston beats Nederland, there will be a tie between Ozen and Livingston for 2nd place. Should be a very interesting night.

Yep tied up for 4th now. Very intense game last night and Nederland did an awesome job in the second half. The Lady Bears just completely lost their composure in the second half. Nederlands second half was just a little better than LCM's 1st half . Time to regroup and finish of the District season strong.

I wouldn't call it a cat fight. LCM looked very, very bad. Probably one of the worse games they have played all year. Of course. Central probably had allot to do with them playing bad. Central is definitely the cream of the crop in this district.

I've seen both teams play and HJ wins this one hands down. Would probably be close for the 1st quarter or two but after that HJ has too many horses in the stable !

I may be way off here, but these are my thoughts on the intent of the survey. I don't think the comments were posted because they really don't matter. I think this survey was a statement by the LCM administration instead of a plea for help. It seems that the questions are actually the base for criteria set by the administration for the new HC/AD. The admin is just letting the community know that there is more to hiring a coach than just baseing it on his win/loss record. On the flip side of that...there are not many successful coaches that don't have most of the qualities listed within the survey anyway. Although I'm sure the comments were scanned through...I get the feeling this is more informational and about making the community feel involved in the hiring process. Spoken like a true POLITICIAN !! LOL ;D ;D And someone that will still have several years with kids in the High School... Couldn't pass it up Slam !

Right now it looks like BH will get LCM in the first round. Looks like it if the standings stay the same. But, the 3rd and 4th spots are still pretty wide open as of now. Anything can happen in this district.

I like the latest rankings. I'm sure someone will wreck them this week though...LOL ;D

I believe that puts both Nederland and Lumberton tied with 4 - 5 records.

Orangefield lost to Nederland, who lost to Lumberton, who Orangefield beat twice by 20+, who lost to Kountze, who lost to Livingston, who lost to LCM, who lost to Ozen, who lost to Central, who lost to Livingston. WOW! I need to get to work and stop playing around on here. Is there room for a 6 or 7 way tie for 2nd place ?? LMAO! ;D ;D

Great game by the Lady Bears but it may have been a costly one. Tayler Thompson went down early in the 2nd half with a knee injury, that may cost her the rest of the season. Hate to have that happen to anyone but especially her. She has worked her butt off to become a better post player for her Senior season and she has improved tremendously. If she isn't able to return, there will be a big hole to fill in the middle for LCM. My prayers go out to Tayler and family as they find out more about the injury. Hope everything is OK, and she's able to return.

A FLUKE ???? Beating a team by double digits my friend is NOT a fluke ! I don't know what planet you come from but that is a whipping, like we have recieved ourselves quite often ! But I will agree HJ should be #1 no doubt.

Kountze hasn't lost a game since the Livingston Tournament, and they beat Central already this year. Kountze was also beaten by LCM. I don't see anyone other than maybe HJ being better than Central.
