Balbay has played great defense all year and he takes care of the ball. Brown has turnover after turnover in big games and his defense is no where near Balbay's.
brown has cut down drastically on the turnovers, and his defense has steadily improved.
I hope Brown proves me wrong for sure. I would love to see the Horns in the Final Four this year. But they have to get more consistant all around and start making some dad gum FREE THROWS !
Yeah 2 turnovers is way too many. But Balbay took great care of the ball with only 6 TO'S/
I don't know where you got that from, Brown had 2 turnovers in 30 seconds in the second half ! But it wasn't just him. They all had a terrible game. -
Agreeing with what you said but Kael cant win it all by himself Burns is just as good if not better and without him you will feel his absence the deeper they go into the playoffs.
Ya'll have another pitcher, who is going to be a good one. Tyler Downs is going to help quite a bit this year, if given the chance. He's taking lessons from Sam Moore now and that will only help him improve. -

Anyone know how LCM did in the game at noon today ??? -

What a JOKE ! I can't believe how a school can allow this to happen.
I wish some of this WAS a joke. Some things can be overlooked as just bad planning or dumb mistakes, but a few things happened that any half-witted adult should have known should never be attempted. I was upset and cut my original post short and omitted two of the most unbelievable parts of the night. 8. The varsity squads dressed in the SAME dressing room! (I'm assuming because of the boys coming back from the other gym at some point, but that would have called for some thinking before hand.) What do you really discuss in the locker room about the game with the opposing team sitting with you? 9. Part of LCM's pre-game ritual is a pre-game prayer. "Comments" were made to players as they left the dressing room about their prayer and what they "should" have been praying for. Anyway...I know I'm rambling and I know you're not supposed to let a few bad apples spoil the whole bunch, but I'll never be able to view Ozen with any respect again. Oh, and for those of you who know me personally, I also took a few pics with my cell of Ozen administrators "on duty" that night and will be glad to share them with you.
Heck what are you waiting on?? Send em my way ! ;)

Always ask the other teams coach. Just to clear the air.

With that being said if in the real world you do a bad job at something and make that many mistakes, and you are getting payed that will be a short job. I just hate to see bad calls that can change a game one way or the other. JMO the best ref. is the one that when the game is over you cant even remember who he was
Good post, the ref's are human, however, job performance should come into play. The last couple years the good ref's are few and far between.
And I'm sure the refs are few and far between because of the verbal abuse they have to take every game.

Hardin-Jefferson at LC-M Predictions/HJ 42 LCM 40
CRUSHCOACH replied to Bobcat1's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
I was very impressed with LCM last night. They handled the pressure HJ put on them well all night, and they had their chances to win it. HJ looked pretty good as well, but they aren't near the team they were last year, YET. Both teams should have good years ! -

Okay Slam where the heck is LCM's schedule ??? ??? -
All I can say is I like the Stars Over Texas. We have had at least 4 to 5 girls get picked up by schools at this tournament over the past couple of years. Plus it's in our own backyard ! The tournament directors try each year to get other Colleges to come and they are constantly in contact with schools and working each year to make the tournament better and better. And they have made it better! They also give out scholarships to deserving kids each tournament, how many others do that ??? The upgrades that Ford Park has made to most of the fields have helped out quite a bit as well, since I don't think anyone else was playing ball this weekend due to weather. But, its everyones responsibility to email coaches at Colleges to let them know where their team will be playing and when. Not just the tournament directors. If every kid sends at least one email to a college coach with their schedule of the Stars Over Texas, the tournament could be even better. It will take everyone stepping up to make it work, not just the Tournament Directors. Bottom line if your DD wants a scholarship to play ball, it requires allot of work on her part and the parents part as well as the coaches. And part of that work is letting College Coaches know where they will be playing at.
