I think that’s exactly what he was trying to say, “Kids deserve better..”. The coaching is terrible.  All those penalties are not to blamed on the players.  Most of the time the players looked like they had no idea what was going on.  There is a lot of good players on this team and are not being given good direction. It was ridiculous to watch the defense not putting one safety back to defend the pass.

OK. Please explain how the penalties are not the kids fault? A statement like that tells me a big part of the problem starts as home. Your kids effort is more your responsibility than the coaches. 11 in the box is as dumb as a 3-3-5. RIO is gone and from the talent I see on the field, he bailed at the right time. You had a great talent run. It's not there right now and it is getting worse in the future. I went to the 8th grade games against BH and BH had more team speed on both sides of the ball than Crosby and they are split in 2 schools in Jr. high. If anyone thinks this Crosby team has the talent that the past teams have had you are just not honestly viewing the games. Rio would not be winning a district championship with this team, but heck TW doesn't have Kyler at Barbers Hill and look at what he has accomplished!! OH wait it's still nothing. My point is that you win with talent, get off the coaches. Dayton PLEASE READ ALSO because your highlight of the game Friday was your team running on the field during the National Anthem. Demand more from your own kids. All I hear is the effort was there, kids played hard. BULL everyone knows what comes next. All I saw was a lack of effort to hold blocks, 2 kids going in motion because they don't know the plays, late hits, jumping off sides, walking off the field and finger pointing. That is on the players

I don't agree/disagree with your viewpoint; however, I was replying to LC-M that Little Cypress could not compete with the likes of winners like Newton, WO-S and PN-G. I am not trying to argue the point that PN-G is the same caliber as the other 2 programs (although many will argue that they are). I will say that for a school with a resume like this, they are a winning program (like my post stated):

Overall record (approx.): 600-350-33 (not exact)

3 State Championships, 6 State Final appearances, 8 Semifinal appearances, 10 Quarterfinal appearances, 15 Regional, 10 Area, 30 Bi-District appearances (12 of them in the last 16 years in case you want to know about recent accomplishments), 27 District Championships (including the last 4 years 2015-2018 in case you want to know about recent accomplishments).

I tried to find the list of LC-M Football accomplishments for a comparison, but I couldn't find any... Can someone please post similar LC-M stats for a comparison?

    LCM - 216 -272- 5

    PNG - 599 - 348 - 33

    NED. - 564 - 378 - 35

    BH - 584 - 313 - 27

    Newton - 574 - 293 - 14

    WOS - 406 - 98 - 3

So there are the numbers. PNG is not that great unless you want to add in Nederland & Barbers Hill, but then again he is right that LCM is not in the equation

This thread and the 20 page rumor one has taken football completely out of the discussion with PNG. Cant wait for friday for football to come back

We all know BH will have a hard time stopping the Purple Roschons and PNG will have a hard time stopping the BH offense. He who has the ball last wins. Thats no fun, but to hear SOME of these Indian fans try to spin this is great entertainment

I heard that the new BH QB is just as or better than the kid that got hurt. I have no idea if this is true or not but it's what I heard.

He don't have the big arm, but is accurate and can handle the pressure. It's a good game for him to start. Not 1 of your better defenses to face.

PNG is fine. BH has the same amount of quality wins as the Dallas Cowboys. They are no threat to PNG.

I agree, same as the cowboys and WB. We seen what happened when they played a quality team. Hope BH fairs a little better

So let me see if my thinking is correct.... if Nederland beats Crosby they get a share of the DC Locked in?

Has anyone really thought about what happens if Nederland were to lose their last 2 games?

It will be a great game in any case, and....

If PNG beats BH, Nederland and PNG will play for #1 next week.

A PNG win over BH makes Nederland/Crosby a moot point as far as first place.

Are they not playing for 1st place even if they both lose? Or 1 or the other lose?

by no means did I say a state championship,im not ignorant, dont have the horses, just saying that they could help on offense, lot harder to cover five good athletes at once versus just one or two!!

just trying to keep the humor up. Nederland is the best team in this district because they do have a defense. I haven't seen Santa Fe so I really don't know about them, but the rest of the district has big holes in or no defense at all. It's really sad to watch

I have a soft spot for Vidor this year. I tend to root for them, but goodness -- This season has been tough, and they have been tough. They are a better team than their record. I'd almost like to see a playoff with every single team in the state (completely ridiculous, I know), just for the chance to get a real idea of how the non-playoff teams from various districts match up.

Or, do a consolation playoff featuring the 5th place teams from every district. See who is the best of the rest.  I think Vidor would do ok in most districts, this year. I'm not saying they would be world beaters, just that they might have more success.

Only problem with this 5th place teams consolation is you are still not to Vidor  in the standings

one thing is for sure,if needed these last three games you will see more weaons on offense,in the likes of hiltz, lewis, roccaforte, grusecki, broussard, good luck to any defenses trying to cover them all at once!!

All them all state DB's going to the offense. No one could ever cover them. Season is over just hand them the state championship.

This game is gonna be a good one to watch b hill has a r b. That does not go down easy.they pass real good 2 q b that rotates.but can They adapt to vidors offense is the key

They grew up running that offense. Vidor fits right into BH's strengths on both sides of the ball. Barbers Hill defense can't chase a spread offense. They are bad in the open field. Linebackers over pursue and backs cut back, but they should know how to defend this offense. Barbers Hill receivers will be hard for Vidor to play. The secondary is their weakness. It won't be like 2 years ago, but it should be a BH win

Just warning the BIgNed faithful when you see the back up Nose Guard for BH trot out there on the field and take up the QB position don't be alarmed . This is not trickery - you might be thinking BH is going to start off in the wild cat formation (not true) - you might be thinking  that new BH fang-dangle coach is trying  to mess with NED's scouting report (not) - you might be thinking"How did I get here " ( sorry got a little side tracked) Anyway their play calling like their fan base is pretty much vanilla like any other year. Its just that now they have the  back up nose guard as their QB - he's a good runner and has a canon for an arm only problem he likes to play laser tag in the 4th quarter and throw into double & triple  coverage and it doesn't always work out ( to his credit though it doesn't shake his confidence ):)

Nothing like a 0-5 start to shake some confidence, but then again you think yall should be 3-1 if only  we could play all 4 QRT's. Crosby will have their 3rd string in by the 4th, so give us another impressive come back for yall to build on. When does Dayton play Lee? I will be pulling for you. It's your only shot at victory

  13. 1 hour ago, jayhawk said:

Your probably right but I'am not going to concede this game just yet. Ive seen to many close games between the two where Dayton was overmatched. We have yet to play a complete game and I think the 4th quarter when Dayton completely dominated BH gave our boys some MO-JO to bring to the Crosby game.

There might be a reason as to why they have yet played a complete game. Look ahead to LEE

Better toys to play with? Please educate us on this? Looks like Nederlands not so good defense gets their other all state DB back this week,so maybe he can help slow down the BH offensive toys...

I did say better toys not better athletes. A Indoor facility, Turf fields, the school ect.. ect.. Maybe I need to change my pick now that I know Nederland has 2 All State DB's returning from last year. And I said nothing about your defense other than to make the point that yall use the excuse about bad weather for your offensive woes, but also say how good the D has been.
