I have a lot of "inside" info on LCM football program.  It's not pretty.  It's a shame, though.  But they misuse good athletes.

Give us a little hint, Smitty, name, initials, year, anything....You've got our curiosity up and the wheels are turning.

With respect to the candidates, has anyone on here compared the number of playoff games each has taken his team to in the last 3 years as compared to Faircloth?  5 years as compared to Stump?  What about offensive statistics last season as compared to these two highly respected coaches?  Points per game?  Just curious what the numbers show?
Crosby Beat the Faircloth coached Indians this year, and Nederland in the first round the past two seasons all coached by Flan.

DE Brandon Alexander- Texas A&M
WR Derek Edwards- Texas Tech
OT Jon Poehlman- Rice
CB Rodney Hubert- SMU
OLB Desmon Mathis- UTSA

I can't believe you guys got knocked out in the first round with that talent.  Include your 2012 guys like Brown, Cole, Green, and Ballard, that are all D1 guys and you've got to wonder how you lose any games.
I know Im wondering if even Lake Travis has that many Guys signing at that high of a level.
It really makes you wonder if it is truelly all about the Larry and Joes there....... and not the X's and O's...... ;).

Someone needs to explain to me why Hank Jones from East Chambers is not on this team.  Wow - Are you kidding me.  I realize only so many can make it, but that is an absolute injustice.
Because the 20-4a District MVP and Offensive MVP is the second team QB's, and the 21-3a Offensive MVP QB is the second team utility player. He is a little behind all three of these players

Here is your answer

Reyes-2174 yards passing 19 touchdowns,,, 453 yards rushing 7 td's *includes playoffs

Gonzales-2381 yards passing 21 td's,,,,597 yards rushing 11 td's

Doty- 2830 yards passing 29 td's * includes playoffs
[
b]Menard- 1390 passing 15 td's,,,,,,1006 rushing 17 td's * includes playoffs

Jones- 1431 yards passing 13 td's,,,,,842 yards rushing 12 td's * includes playoffs

Great Kid, and he had a great year, but so did other QB's. He is behind in the Stats.
But trust me I'm sure he will not let this stop him from having a great future
I think Reyes had a really good year this year but to have put him above Doty and Gonzales i didnt understand. These 2 were by far the best 2 QB in the area. And if Lamar is looking for a Qb these 2 young men would have been a great place to start. Add FORD and some lineman to the already exisiting players u had on the Off and Lamar would be a force to be reconded with for years to come.
You need to look at Silsbee's QB stats. You would take that comment back.
Gonzales-2381 yards passing 21 td's 6 INT,,,,597 yards rushing 11 td's 32 total Td's

Doty- 2830 yards passing 29 td's 12 INT * includes playoffs Also had 3 rushing TD's
32 total td's

McDaniel-2502 yards passing 25 touchdowns 12 INT,,,,,566 yards rushing 4 touchdowns * includes playoffs 29 total td's
Doty and Gonzales still have the edge

If its pure stats then why isn't this one on here:

Myles Taylor -Hardin (TX) 3313 yard passing 38 touchdowns 759 rushing 4072 Total yards not including the playoffs  #11 in the state in overall passing yards #7 in Total Offensive yards...

Struggled in the Win department but still had the stats.
My fault I forgot to add that everyone of those players also led there team to a 7 win or better season, but you are right about Taylor.  Smaller schools do get over looked at times especially if they are not winning.

8. How many yards did sonnier have rushing, and also how many rushing Touchdowns did he have. He motioned into the backfield a lot from the wr spot. He also was the "Wild DOG" guy.  Even though he is lined up at QB he is a listed wr. He had 438 yards rushing with 15 touchdowns if you add that to his Receiving you get 626 yards and 16 touchdowns.  That is with missing the Vidor game.  In my opinion if I was coaching against the two players I would be more worried about Sonnier wherever he lined up.

In district only
Nelson-545 yards 5 touchdowns

Sonnier-626 total yards 16 touchdowns

I believe, if Livingston makes the playoffs, PN-G will be the #2 seed (assuming Central beats PN-G).  If PN-G wins, they will be the #1 seed.  Thinking about it, there is a lot on the line for PN-G.  If they go into the playoff bracket as the #1 seed, that side of the bracket is pretty soft.  The winner of the 19-4A and 20-4A might just have two more pretty easy playoff games.

The only way PNG plays Dayton is If
1. PNG loses,LCM wins, and vidor beats Livingston.  Then it looks like this

1.Central 7-0 Big school 1 seed
2. LCM 5-2 Small school 1 seed
3.PNG 4-3 Small school 2 seed
4.Vidor 3-4 Big School 2 seed ( Vidor is in with wins over Ned in Liv.)
4.Ned 3-4 out for loss to vidor early in season
4. LIV 3-4 out with loss to vidor

OR>>>>
Livingston wins, Ned Wins, and PNG Loses
1. Central 7-0 Big school 1
2.Liv-4-3 Small school 1
2.PNG- 4-3 Small school 2 because of loss to Liv
2.Ned 4-3 Big school 2
2.LCM 4-3 out with 1-2 record vs tie breaker teams just like PNG, but lost head up to them

Old Ball Coach I agree with you 100% I had a long talk with my son when he got home that evening about commitment and what it means and what his goals in life are. I asked him if walking off the field would help him achieve these goals and he told me no and that is why he went back into the dug out. I told him his job is to play baseball and do what the coach tells him and that anyone can  find an excuse to complain about life being unfair. He was not allowed to play the rest of the game. A decision I agree with. I spoke with the coach after the game and told him if wanted to remove my son from the team I would support his decision. The players need to play ball as instructed by thier coach. Period end of story.

I'm glad there are parents like you still in the world.
11. a player(OR A CHILD) never has the right to make a decision for the coach ( a grown man with an education).  If they truely did this then I hope they are banned from all sports for the rest of their career.  Because if not, they will do this again in the future, like someone said earlier maybe on their first job.  There must be a lesson learned, those kids are not going to play college ball anywhere, so they are in athletics because it is fun, but most importantly to learn life long lessons.  If the players are in control no lesson will ever be learned, and they will always think they should get what they want. Which as we all know is not how the world works
