Didn't Newton just lose several kids to division one football schools? If you think they'll be the same caliber team without them that they were with them... it might be a disappointing year for you. Local coach or not.
Lots of Talent coming up. Just need the right OC. There flirting with a good one. Just hope we can make it happen $

Surprised that Neece took the Anahuac job. He told me a few months ago that he did not want a head coaching job. He knew that the Newton Job was probably his if he wanted it. Seems odd that he took a head/AD job at a school which has a losing tradition when he probably could have had the Newton job. Coach Neece is an outstanding person and a really good coach. If the kids will buy into his program, Anahuac will be a better team.
Good luck Coach Neece.
Told me the same thing when he came over....But Money talks lol

Barbay.........
I don't believe Neece didn't know this when he decided to leave for Anahuac, and I don't think it's a coincidence Barbay didn't end up getting the Anahuac job.
Enjoy retirement Coach Johnson......
Most likely not. Drew Johnston is the best fit for the Job.

Can Franklin throw the ball?
Like a sack of potatoes. They rely on a stable of backs with a lot of miss direction plays. They don’t fare well against a good disciplined defense.

Had a ref tell me last night that has worked a few Newton games that if teams would pass on em they can beat em. That same crew is working the newton game next week apparently!
Gilmer was and is the best passing team we seen all year.

If you take Newton's two deep depth chart and see how many different players are on it, then restrict all the other schools to just that many players, I believe Newton wins against anyone in the area, maybe the state.
Example : 44 positions on the 2 deep = (I'm guessing) no more than 28-30 kids for Newton. So restrict the other teams to that number and Newton wins.
Good point. We dressing out 40

We had Surratt too. I think WT was here in the mid 90's?
You are correct. It’s a culture there and like he said if y’all are happy with a 6 - 5 season and that’s not the place for me. That’s why he left

If Newton beats WOS and Gilmer convincingly next year, then Newton Fan can feel free to speculate about who “they would have beaten” after next season. Facts are facts... Newton didn’t face a team anywhere near as good as these two at any point last year.
As Ric Flair said.... “to be The Man, you’ve got to at least play somebody who was worth a crap before you start bumping your gums.” Or something like that.
Your obsession and jealousy is quite amusing...
Who will be the favorite to make it to state next season
