Well, the kids don't control who they Play...  And a lot of times, it's not true...  Calvin Tyler put up huge numbers last year at Ozen playing 6a and 5a teams, INCLUDING your Indians...  Then went to Silsbee and did pretty much the same thing over there...  just sayin...

Correct me if I am wrong, but didn't he actually control this situation? By choosing not to comply with what was asked of him by Neuman, he chose not to play in 22-5A and therefore chose to play St. Mary's school for Catholic girls. Sounds right to me.

It doesn't matter. This season will be followed by a mishandled negotiation with the coach which will result in him moving on to greener pastures. It's the Woodville Way.

    This is great! haha

I'm wondering if Toby doesn't wish he would've taken this job when he had the chance?

Even the private schools have restrictions about kids coming over for athletic purposes. The UIL decision is a red flag

This must be a joke. Kelly has made a living off of kids "coming over for athletic purposes". It's so common that it's openly joked about on these boards. So you're telling me that if he tried to enroll today, he would be denied?

Too late for this season. Not to mention, any move they make now to any school would be an obvious basketball reason after the UIL decision.

I was more thinking of a move to a private like we saw with Mayfield in football. I can't imagine a situation where the kid will just eat a year sitting out doing nothing.

  5. Vidor will win this game tonight.

Having seen both teams play, I believe Vidor is the stronger of the two. Netherly is terribly out of position at QB and hinders Crosby's offense. Crosby plays with too much swagger, and it leads to overconfidence and gets them beat from time to time. Tonight will be one of those times. I truly believe the kids at Crosby are comparing the common opponent, Barbers Hill, and it is causing them to overlook Vidor. Look no further than this game being on a Thursday. If you are Vidor, you agree to this immediately because Crosby won't have as long to prepare for your unique offense. If you are Crosby, you agree to this because you want more time to prepare for the second round.

Calm down there, no one said it was about "playing the game" On the field has been great this season

Y'all better do whatever that man says or he might ride out of town on the same horse he rode in on.

The problem when you have the Bubba's (Literally in Hardin's case) causing trouble from the stands is having the kids buy into your program.  Any small school will have problems and continue to have problems as long as board members get involved in football.

As an AD you can't act the way Stark did in public and expect any kind of job security.  When you win like he did at West Sabine you can get away with a lot more un-professional indiscretions.  If you're losing you had better walk the line and have a plan for turning the corner.  Stark couldn't act right (in public on campus) and didn't have a plan to turn that program around...if it is even possible with the athletes they have.

No victims to see here...Everyone at that place gets to sleep in the beds that they made.

This is one of the craziest things I've ever read. Care to elaborate on what "acting right in public and on campus" means?

Lol. Nope.. No axes to grind.. Some folks over at King see it differently. But I guess they are wrong. You Crosby folks who think your right about any and all things are right... Ill believe what they said at King..

This didn't have anything to do with the "be great academy" did it? Think I heard this story.

They moved after the previous football year, went to school at Crosby the next semester, went to summer workouts and off-season, and the King coach refused to sign their transfer papers.  So, since they had future football offers, they went back to King to not jeopardize that.  They also were moving from one parents house to the other parent.  I guess they forgot to check with you first.

Na, I agree with OctFeb, that situation was certainly shady.
