  1. They may not post so much on the Carthage thread. I mean, even I have to say that I don't know of anyone that definitively has a better coach that Carthage in the state of Texas. He's made his team do the unthinkable, more than once, even when over-matched with talent. But to add to that, you did say 4ADII, and Carthage is DI.
  2. Lol in case you have noticed, we don't like ANYONE saying something along the lines of "nobody can compete with (insert team name here)." Just ask the Gilmer faithful. Or really, start a post just like the one you started, just insert Gilmer's name where you had WOS's and see what happens lol.
  3. Lol I'm having a real hard time telling Chukslegacy and WOS36 apart. I'm not convinced they're not the same person.
  4. I mean we could mention those, but then we'd have to point out that Newton is 3AD2, then we'd have to point out that the 1 win Silsbee has it against a Jasper team that I wouldn't exactly call an impressive 4AD2 team. That being said, good luck to you guys! You're going to need it!
  5. In one of the most dominant performances in Texas state championship history I may add . We're getting back into winning shape, and have a pretty good team this year. Just gotta find our stride.
  6. Yea well you have to worry about.... what other good teams are in south Texas again?
  7. I got Wharton. Just something telling me after that week 1 loss to Sealy, they finally got it back on track. That was a close loss to a very good El Campo team I may add.
  8. Navasota is without their head coach. If anyone doubted that Fedora had that program on the map, they don't now.
  9. Thank you sir. We will see how it pans out. Hopefully they get everything ironed out and ready for district.
  10. Oh I am sure that we're not ready to face Gilmer right now. You didn't say that Gilmer was good enough to win their district, you said they would win their district. After a 13 year drought to Gilmer, including losing in the Qtr. Finals to them 2 straight years, no opponent can possibly know what Gilmer is capable of more than I. I have also watched Gilmer this season, and I am aware of what their passing game looks like, which is not far from the way it looks every year, consisting of a heavy dose of screens. With that being said, Atlanta does need to improve. The Henderson was a very bad showing on several levels, mainly in special teams and offensive line. Do they have the talent to hang with Gilmer? Yes, most definitely. I have to trust that the coaches can get this team in the shape they need to be in, as they did last year when we entered the playoffs with a (6-4) record. So I wouldn't give Gilmer the trophy just yet. They may very well win it, but I won't sell my Rabbits out over the blowing the first game of pre-district. I think they are well equipped with enough talent to take on whomever they meet.
  11. Mighty tall claims to only be 3 games deep in a season with only 1 slightly impressive win against a team that's been exposed more than once for having a weak passing defense. We will see how this plays out.
  12. I'm taking Carthage in this game. I haven't seen Carthage this year, but I have seen Gilmer once. I just think that Carthage's style of football and their defense will be the decider in this game. We will see!
