BC Cardinal Senior Johnny Dishon for outfield. BA=.320 SLG=.740 OBP=457
35 RBI 12 homeruns with 2 grand slams.
BC Senior Jeff Stringer for pitcher. ERA=1.54 127 SO in 68 IP. Top pitcher for BC AND good batter. BA=.324 SLG= .405 OBP.349
BC Junior Jaden Dillon for outfield. He has had a great series with both teams not included in stats. BA=.313 SLG=.567 OBP=.407 28 RBI 5 homeruns with 2 grand slams.
BC Freshman Matt Hicks for shortstop. BA=.337 SLG=.465 OBP=.416 25 RBI Also key batter in helping to beat Carthage in Game 2.

Meeks carrys a good stick......don't know why he doesn't get a chance to use it. In the field, he has played all over.....mostly first and third...if I remember right.

Just got the new Baseball America mag and it has Will as the #36 overall prospect for the upcoming draft.
The scouting report is as follows: "Kevin Ahrens isn't the only blue-chip third base recruit Texas A&M could lose to the draft. Where Ahrens gets compared with Chipper Jones, the more athletic Middlebrooks draws Cal Ripken Jr. and Scott Rolen comparisons. Selected to play in a Texas high school football all-star game, Middlebrooks drew college interest as a quarterback and punter. He's also a 6-foot-4, 215 pound righthander with a low-90s fastball and an occasional plus curveball. But his future is at the hot corner. He's not quite as polished a hitter as Ahrens, but he's not far off and his size gives him leverage that will produce power. He's an athletic third baseman with good range and a strong arm, and he runs exceptionally well for his size. Middlebrooks is a consensus supplemental first-rounder, but he could sneak into the first round with the right club."

Dear expo, you are correct. LE doesn't stand a chance against BC. Being that ya'll beat Carthage, I don't even know why they are going to play the game at all. LE should stay home and lick their wounds. Congratulations to the Bridge City region champs. Good luck in the Final round.
What makes you think they dont stand a chance? because they lost to Carthage? To me any team that wants it bad enough and plays there best will earn it. And maybe LE could do that

To me I still think bridge city is the underdog, and is ready for revenge. Losing both district games kinda makes me want them two back. BC and Jasper will both be ready to play ball.
