  2. Barring any injures, the Heisman Trophy Trust should put his name on the trophy right now. After 3 games: Passing: 50 completions 82 attempts - 913 yards 8 TD's Rushing: 49 attempts- 464 yards 10 TD's Total yards in 3 games: 1,377 yards 18 TD's
  3. I am sure that many of the teams have student athletes in football. Silsbee should dominate because of their guard play so I am not surprised that they did well without their football guys. I keep hearing that this will be a down year for Ozen and that North Shore will be very good. No one should come close to Silsbee in the 409 this year.
  4. After a few games...I have changed my predictions 1. PAM 2. Port Neches 3. Vidor 4. Nederland
  5. I have been anticipating this game since the schedule came out. I am sure fans of many other teams will take the drive to Orange to see one of the better matchups this year, so you might want to get there early. Calvin Tyler is an elusive and tough runner. I am interested in seeing who will break the other ones will in this game. The WOS defense vs. one of the best running backs in the area.
  6. Ozen will not be able to stop Vidor's running game even though they know they will run the ball 99% of the time. Vidor 28 Ozen 13
  7. If every student athlete has to sit out a year, then every coach should have to sit out a year also. For instance, the stuff that Suggs pulled at Ozen. Not having an offseason, resigning at the very last minute when he knew he was going to leave, and pretty much abandoning the kids and that football program was wrong. He should have to sit out a year also. I ask this question again! Why should the kids be loyal to a football program when no one is loyal to them? And also, I would not want a student athlete to play in my program if he really didn't want to be there.
  8. No way that Texas is #11 in the nation. It was a great game but GEESH! Texas will give up tons of points this year because their defense will be on the field a lot because of their hurry up offense. Rankings don't mean anything. JUST WIN BABY! Let's see how they tackle against UTEP's running back.

  10. It was a great game. Let's see how Texas plays against the teams they should beat.
  11. FSU! FSU! I hope that Jimbo doesn't leave for LSU when they come calling for him again. They will throw the kitchen sink at him this time.

  13. Fans are probably fed up with the product that has been put on the field the past few years. The coaching carousel...etc. A fan base won't return until the team starts winning. It's going to be a tough job for their new coach. It's going to be tough keeping the kids motivated and getting fan support.
  14. I understand that the coach has only been with his kids for only a few weeks. So playing a team that was stacked like that didn't make much sense. A few posts on this site have talked around the subject of why Ozen is 5A but should be 4A. Who made the decision for them to stay 5A? Was is Suggs? Was it the AD? If so why? My coworker told me that the BISD petitioned for them to stay 5A and that Ozen actually has 4A numbers. Sounds like those kids over there are getting a raw deal. And it seems like no one wants to stand up for the kids, but if it was a coach not getting the job done, everyone would be putting their 2 cents in to get rid of him. smh
