These random tests are bogus. They are in no way representative of the whole. Those staticstics lack all credibilty. I will say they are very likely more prevalent in 4A-5A than in the smaller schools.

The Great Steroid Scare killed baseball. The players have always been the face of the game as you see in these pics. I think the sellout by the league was wrong as well as the seek and destroy mindset of the government. You have to let sleeping dogs lie and move forward from here. Heck, the Chargers began juicing in the 60's and you don't see anyone digging up bones. Then again, football is a sport where performance enhancement is sickeningly obvious.

I wouldn't give them a chance outside of district. They could get lucky, but I've seen too much good baseball in 2A, especially around central Texas.

I think Baylor and Okie-lite are the next best two outside of Texas. Pitching will be big. I saw one mean curveball from a UT right-hander. Reminded me of Kevin McDonald from Silsbee.

The Longhorns look especially strong this year. I had the opportunity to make it out for their double-header against Penn St. and man did they play some ball! I opted not to go to the Sunday series finale and the kid throws a no-hitter! Baseball America was sure impressed after last week.
