  1. Even though QX says he loves Jews and Judaism in a late interview, his 'formal' apology for anti-semitic remarks was not very sincere. He basically says that the point he was trying to make was misunderstood: "In 1995, Quanell was quoted in the New York Daily News as saying, "I say to Jewish America: Get ready … knuckle up, put your boots on, because we're ready and the war is going down. … The real deal is this: Black youth do not want a relationship with the Jewish community or the mainstream white community or the foot shuffling, head-bowing, knee bobbing black community."" That's not a direct quote, as I'm not going to pay for a Chicago Tribune archive article, but it is very accurate. No, QX, I think you did in fact make your point. "On January 28, 2008, after taking a tour of the Holocaust Museum Houston, Quanell said he became enlightened and apologized for his past statements on Jews. "I seek the forgiveness of every survivor who has heard the words I've said. I did not say them in the proper manner to make the point I was trying to get across. I can see and understand how they might be utterly paranoid (of) a person such as myself."" The big picture is that here is a man, if I can call him that, that until he sees hard physical evidence of a major catastrophic event in human history, denies it's existence altogether. On the other hand, he wastes no time with the baseless accusations of his own towards a few of Lumberton's finest, and threats to the community as a whole.
  2. Wow, just watched several interviews with New Black Panthers on youtube...specifically from Hannity and Colmes. Talk about supremacy and propaganda, geez.
  3. I think one of their goals is to make it known that people are aware and watching the progress of the case and won't tolerate any shoddy investigations. Sometimes it's just a necessity to keep a good fix on a potential problem. It is what it is! C'mon man. Don't say that. We both know that it is entirely too radical. A private investigation could've been enacted regardless. Just take note of the character of those involved. Sure, the police are always given the benefit of the doubt, but get real. You have a man coming from Houston to Lumberton to tell them that their water is dirty when he can't even achieve endorsement by the organization he pledges by. Not to mention the sickening principles that they stand by.
  4. QX accomplished his goal. His name is plastered all over the news and public forums as well. What a selfish joke. He's basically gambling with the death of a young man, since there is currently no evidence either way. If the LPD comes off clean, QX gets put on the back burner, but if it indeed was brutality, QX is a hero. Looks like he dropped the coke for his new fix, the spotlight.
  5. No no no, I'd take any clip of Bagwell or Biggio over anything you can throw out there. That's their house. Now I remember why I'm an Astro fanatic.
  6. Hahaha! What a thread! The only strength they have lies in hoping and praying. Not to say they won't be good, but considering district competition next year.....
  7. Thursday was always B-Dubs night for me and my crew. The night I did the challenge was legendary. As was the next morning running in and out of my calculus class to the bathroom.
  8. You want to go to the big dance. There are NO absolutes. Why would you want to be the best of the rest? Rest of the best always sits better. It's really a no brainer, and if you disagree then this question is obviously bogus.
  9. I bet this area could support minor league baseball better than anything.
  10. WOW your IGNORANCE really shows and how IMATURE you really are! GROW UP!! Ranger seems to be losing his composure... ;D
  11. Not really poking fun, so call off the dogs. You're the one that wishes to explore the comment deeper, bringing out all but positive connotations. The observation was merely that such a "skill" sport can be played without the use of legs. By me not realizing the correlation I would thereby shun them from associated conversation, and that's just disrespectful.
  12. Forgive me! I see it now! I was ignorantly being sexist...I should have said "people" not "guys"
  13. I just don't see how basketball is an elite sport. Football is much harder on the body, and if it isn't then you are playing it wrong. The reason you might not see guys jumping to toss the pigskin around is, well, most people can't throw a football, but even then I don't know of anyone that has turned down a Thanksgiving or Christmas pickup game. Basketball really isn't that difficult. Sorry.
  14. Look Dick, you can have your opinion, but that won't change anything. Why? You're a basketball fanatic! That's your world! It's not possible for you to imagine life any other way! The problem is that football is a much larger sport in SETX. <you see that period? As far as settling this arguement with satatistics, it is possible. Since you can't deny that athletics are about the kids, here is how: Compile the numbers of players from each sport in SETX that have gone on to play ball at the next level. Don't leave out baseball either because I think you will find that basketball isn't even a close second. Have fun cuz I'm not gonna do it. Oh, and don't forget about locally supported semi-pro teams Dick.
  15. There's something seriously wrong with this organization.
  16. Silsbee isn't exactly Mr. Popular among it's peers so it figures. Robinson seemed liked the well-balanced player of the trio.
  17. I haven't put much thought into it, just passing time on the boards. I would say the bream were 3 or 4 inches and they were due to be 2 pounds and hungry by now I expect. There were only a few floaters when I stocked it with a copious amount of fish. As far as size I would say an acre ranging from 4 to 20 ft deep. Flooding, overflow, and drought have not affected it at all.
