  1. I am sorry EC, I just don't see him leaving WB. Stowers left Central today for more money. What's to say that Stump doesn't to the same this week or next. All the Beaumont Coaches make the same income, they for sure will not pay a new coach at Central what Stump really deserves at WB. Just more of a reason for Stump to become an INDIAN. I'll bet if the PNGISD would let Stump bring a few of his coaches with him this would have already been a done deal.
  2. You asked earlier why he would want to leave WB other than $20K. 1. He is not AD at WB and won't be any time soon. Having control over athletics is a big plus. 2. PNG has better facilities. Even with BMT's bond issue and new stadium plans, WB has to share with Central and Ozen. 3. 5A elite talent gap is much wider than 4A talent gap! Easier to win titles in 4A. 4. Community support. PNG packs 'em in. WB not so much! 5. Doesn't have to share talent with other BMT schools. The middle schools are not under his direction because they go to different HS's. At PNG he could start his program from Junior league on up! 6. I hear that his 9th grade son might get one year on the Varsity level because of a Sophomore QB. Could start multiple years at PNG. Also someone posted that Stump only had one 10 win season, but least we forget that two of those four seasons (where they had only 2 losses) were hurricane shortened seasons. He has a 0.773 win percentage and is 6-4 in the playoffs. Looks pretty good to me. I put about only 1 10 game win season, and this year he wouldn't have gotten it. WB got lucky and didn't have to play KATY because of the hurricane. Like I said beat the big teams year in and year out with the talent you have then I'll say he's way above the others on the list. I think everyone is hyping him up because they don't know too much about the other applicants. Do some research and then put them side by side to make your points. What have the other coaches on the list done in there first 5 years of coaching highschool football? I'm asking because I don't know. I do know that Stump has turn a horrible program into winners again with a positive attitude towards football. I would love for him to bring this same intensity back to PNG, because it has been missing the last several years.
  3. I spoke to a friend of mine today and here is another thing to ponder about Coach Stump and family. His son is in 9th grade and a QB. If Stump is to continue coaching at WB there is a strong chance his son will never play QB. (per my friend which is a coach at WB) If Stump does take the PNG postion, his son stands a better chance of starting at QB or any other postion mine you.
  4. Why? So he can make the most money he's ever made for three years and retire using that salary as his base? That's not what PN-G is looking for. They want somebody to carry the tradition and take it to the next level for the next 20 years. You have no clue!! Stump has two sons, one in 9th grade and I think the other is in 7th or 8th. He will be around a while longer than that too. I can honestly see him coaching for around 15+ years with great success at PNG.
  5. If the PNG Board thinks his Amt is to large, let me make up the difference. ;D
  6. My son played on the PNG White Flag this year. I'm so proud of him and all of his teammates for having such an outstanding season. I would like to personally thank our coaching staff for doing a wonderful job. Each of you taught those kids discipline and how to be good sports. Winning was just icing on the cake. I'm looking forward to next year in tackle.
  7. From Nederland or Beaumont, I would take I-10 to 45-North then 105 West. It is the same amount of miles and you can get their a lot quicker. Look it up on map quest if you don't believe.
  8. As a fan, who cares!! I do hope all the seniors enjoy their last two games though. I am really upset for the PNG seniors. They had a great group to work with just really BAD coaching.
  9. X2 X3 X4 and I would like to add that the HC & OC need to be release from the program if PNG will ever want to be a power again in this district.
  10. I agree with you badndn. #2 is a beast for the Bulldogs. But what I got from the PNG vs Lumberton game is Lumberton has no pass defense. This spells a lot of trouble for the Train. By-the-way is #49 for Lumberton going to be able to play anymore this year? It look like he hurt himself pretty bad. He is one of the best linebackers in our district this year. Livingston will win district Central Second Nederland Third Lumberton Fourth
  11. I would like to second that!! Lumberton is in for a rude awakening. The train was Derailed last year by my Indians an I look for them to do the same this year.
  12. Shouldn't you be preparing for hibernation Grizzly? This will not be a blow out, and if it was, PN-G would be handing out the TNT. Lumberton better hope they are prepared enough. All the game film they have viewed from PN-G previous games will be useless. I believe we will FINALLY see the team we thought we had at the beginning of the season and make the playoffs. ;D put down the pipe We will see.

  14. You can throw out ever stat, what happen last year, and what happen many years in the past. We are at the present time & this coming Saturday night will be a great game. Big Ned has great coaching and very skilled recievers. PNG does what it does best and that is run over & around other teams. Every once in a while we throw a pass here & there. I'm looking for a very tight game PNG 24 - BigNed 20. Goodluck to both teams, you represent Mid County well on and off the field.
  15. PNG 42 LCM 7 I just don't see LCM being a problem for my Tribe. Good luck to both teams on making it back from IKE.
  16. Oct. 12 PN-G* How about BigNed couldn't stop Hemmings and Wright. Oh and Ned couldn't run either. 2007 is history, but history will repeat itself again at the Dog Pound.
  17. WOS vs. Kerville Tivy.....I don't remember the year, but it was the game when Kevin Smith leap over the offensive line of Tivy and sack the QB. He timed it so perfect and everyone in the Dome went crazy. The best part about it all was that Tivy was on the WOS 2 yard line.
  18. No music was played trying to distract the pitcher.. That is a flat out lie!! The only music played was between innings and each player has walk-up music. Get your facts straight before you post! If, and I stress if, music is distracting you on the mound. You simply do not need to be pitching. Thank you!! If you have played any type of organized baseball, you should know that everything is blocked out except what is happening on the field.
  19. I say Lamar wins this one by 10-15 pts. I know Nicholls have given us problems in the past on their home court, but this year is different. We have plenty of guards to cover that 3-point shot of theirs. Everyone aleady knows who will win the rebounding stat. IMO
  20. About the only thing LM will be better at than L-Town this Friday is the entrance to the game thru their kitty-cat run-through balloon. After the opening kickoff L-Town will own the field and win by 14pts. L-Town is the mirror image of PNG with a quicker defense. LM couldn't move the ball well in week 0. In week 12 they will not be able to move the ball at all.
  21. Didn't you graduate from a school in that same location which isn't in existence anymore? I did too, but I always support the local KIDS in the sports they play in. Mr. Rodgers will be entering the Indians neighborhood this coming Saturday & when he takes his shoes off at the door, he will be greeted with a smack down. PNG 35-14. Coach Broussard will have our Young Men ready again.
  22. If the game is Friday or Saturday, me & family will be there supporting the Raiders. I'm a Big PNG fan, but come playoff time I cheer and attend most games from our fellow area competitors. PNG played LM the first game of the season. If we would have been running the type of offense now back then, who knows what the outcome would of been. I believe L-Town wins on heart alone. 28-14. Hey PATITAN, We are LM Cougars Whoooooosh I mean SQOOOOOSH!!! The L-Train keeps rolling.
  23. Big Ned Fans, Maverick is telling the truth. He talked a lot of smack before the PNG game and after the loss, he gave credit where credit was due. Maverick, there is one thing different in this game versus the PNG game. When L-town loses this one by more than 10pts, you can give them credit an you & your son can also buy tickets and watch them the following week. Bid Ned 14 years running. L-town 41 years running. ;D
