The lady bulldogs had a good performance in Goodrich today beating Shepherd 61 - 44. Courtney Baker led the lady bulldogs in scoring with 23 pts. Melsasia Kelly had 11 pts. This was a good win for them.

Kirbyville 62 Jasper 45.  The lady wildcats out hustled the lady bulldogs tonight.  Jasper blew golden oppertunities.  About 15 layups were missed by Jasper, and poor freethrow shooting.  you have to make the high percentage shot if you want to win ballgames.  The lady Wildcats played a good game.

Should be a very good game to open up district play for both teams.  I'm picking Jasper in a close one. 8)

Newton loses 20 - 16.  score was tied 16 - 16 at the half.  Newton had 2 safties the second half that put tatum up 20 - 16.  bad snaps on punt attempts.  tough loss, but Great run for the Eagles.

I agree, this is going to be a very exciting year in 21 -3a.  anyone care to give perdictions for the way this district will close out, and i know that we haven't even started district yet.

I also got to see Ang this past weekend and it was a pleasure to see such a talent on the court.  what I like about her is that she is very respectful and she knows how to carry herself when she is off of the court.

Jasper still has a long way to go after their final day at the Nederland tourney. Hemphill pounds the lady dogs, then Warren beats them by nine, they just look flat!!! so i guess a ranking in the polls will just have to wait until they can get it together.

they still have Kirbyville ranked ahead of jasper?  Jasper loses to LCM by 7, and a much improved team from last year, ckeck out the nederland tourney and ask if they are a that you can take lightly this season!!!! ???

the game with LCM and Jasper was a good game, Jasper is an improved team from last year. they should have won that game, too many blown opportunities at the basket!!!!

inside of 2:30 left in the game, jasper is down by 10pts. so they are pressuring fullcourt, hunington was having a tough time handling the press. jasper girls are making plays for the ball and the ref. calls intentional fouls twice, two techs, hunington player pushed our player, she pushes back, the refs only saw jasper push. changed the entire game! Hunington played well, but the lady bulldogs are putting it together, its going to be good in district 21-3a. ???

great game until all of the techs started flying.  refs lost control of the game. both team played hard.

the refs were horrible!  12 pt. swing in the final 2:30 of the game all from the freethrow line for hunington and the lady bulldogs were at home. 8)

The Lady Bulldogs Turned the ball over too many times to win this one!  WestBrook played a solid game an they have some good speed at the guard position.  Once Jasper starts to limit their turnovers they'll be fine, but we got one handed to us last night.

Jasper wins opener against Burkeville 56 -30.  if jasper would have pressed tonight it wouldn't been nice.  Good win Lady Bulldogs!!

Nederland did jump out to a quick lead, but jasper gave nederland a run for it. final in that game was 61 - 58.  ???

I agree coachKfan, i'm a jasper fan and they will creep in the polls real soon. It's preseason and I guess we have to earn the right to be ranked ???

I agree Bulldog10, that was a great scrimmage.  Jasper and Nederland have improved. I was impressed with Orangefield's scoring, that is a great showing, I think that 21-3a is going to be hot this year.  I'm from Jasper, but I love to give credit where credit is due.  Nederland I hope that your season is a great one!  you have a great young coach, and he is doing a great job!  I believe that Coach Baker will have his team focused this season.

This may be off the subject, but the Nederland in November will showcase alot of the teams from the region.  We should be able to see what alot of the finest talent around.  Should be great! :

Jasper will be a team to watch for this season as well in 21-3a. Coach Joe Baker had them playing well in the 2nd half of district.  They have a nice sophmore named Courtney Baker, and this team should be something to deal with the next 3 years.  They have a strong group of juniors and sophmores this year that played well at the end of the season last year.  They also had a productive summer league. ;D Look for much improvement!!!!

watch the team from Jasper this season, coach Joe Baker is positioning that team for a shot at the playoffs this season.  He has some good ball players returning this season.  21-3a will be exciting once again this season, there are no nights off in this district. Tuesday and Friday nights in 21-3a will offer some of the finest ballgames in the area.  Whould be fun!!!!! 

One thing I've learned about this game is that trash talking is cool, but Friday is coming and both teams no matter who's on either side of the ball better be ready!  Kville has a nice squad, so does Jasper.  Put the records aside, this will be a game for all eyes to see.  On paper kville looks great, too bad the game isn't played on paper, its on the field!  Friday is coming, and Jasper will prove the polls wrong.  It will be tight, but in the end Jasper will be right.  24-21 Jasper

Kirbyville and Jasper have head coaches with the last name Baker.  Coach Joe Baker is Jasper's Head coach, and Lola Baker is Kirbyville's HC. ;D

I don't know what kirbyville has this year, I wouldn't be surpised if Jasper finishes 3rd this season.  Coach Baker is in his 2nd year at Jasper and has a solid group of players coming back this season. Last season was tough, but i like his style of coaching, he'll have them ready sooner then many would believe. :-* :-* :-*

I believe that this season will be better then last years, especially in 21-3A. I think that the race for the playoffs will include 5 teams for 3 P.O. spots. Silsbee, H.J., Orangefield, Jasper, and Kirbyville. This season will be a tight one!!!!

after a down year, jasper should surprise some people this year.  Their young, but they had great summer league play, and they should be ready to make a strong showing this season!!!
