  1. Glad I've been watching the Astros. Happy Texas got the win but giving up 48 to Kansas is embarrassing.
  2. If Urquidy can keep it a 3-2 game and get thru the 6th I will feel good about Harris, Smith, and Osuna finishing it off.
  3. Just gotta ride the wave and enjoy postseason baseball. I would have done some unsavory things just to watch the Astros in a playoff series from 2007-2014 when they were a dumpster fire, so I am just gonna enjoy the now.
  4. Up 3-2 in a game at home when you're up 3-2 in the series with the best pitcher in the world in your back pocket for a if needed winner take all. I do not see a need to panic.
  5. The dude pitched well and took a weird step and got injured. As Mack said, that is part of sports. Hinch makes decisions based on what he feels is best for the team, not decisions based on being scared of a guy taking a wrong step and getting reinjured.
  6. Did not look good at all. Doubt he pitches again this postseason.
  7. Gurriel!!! The dude has made good contact all series and finally hit it out instead of at someone!
  8. Just saw on twitter that UAB players are wearing the last names of kids at a local hospital tonight. Pretty cool gesture by them.
  9. Peacock getting the start for the Stros, Green getting the start for the yanks. I know Alvarez has struggled this postseason, but I just have a gut feeling he is going to have himself a day! Hope to see MMP rockin!
  10. Reading the horror stories of being an opposing fan at yankee stadium and my mind is blown on how crappy of a fan base they have.
  11. The new coach inherited a group of mostly upperclassmen. You can dislike a guy all you want, but to discredit what he did for the kids while he was there is just showing ignorance mixed with being butthurt. If the current coach is some guru, then WH will go farther than 1 and done in the playoffs.
  12. JV is overthrowing. Hope he can settle down and the offense can give him some support
  13. I do not live in the WH area anymore and do not know the ins and outs of what happened while he was there or what led to him going to Colmesneil, but I did go to school with Cody and have kept in contact with him over the years and know he is a good coach who cares about the kids he is coaching and he is also a good man. I will undoubtedly catch some snide comments and remarks saying that I don't know the details of the situation and all that but what I do know is one thing; WH athletics will never get over the hump until parents stop making their kids victims or saying said kid doesn't play because so and so doesn't like them and realize the best kids will play, high school athletics isn't something to relive your failures and shortcomings through your kid, and sadly, a bunch of parents and kids out there do not want their kids to be coached hard. It was that way when I was there, was probably that way before, and from everything I hear, is that way more than ever now. There are a lot of great people in that community and there are a lot of great kids out there, there seems to just be a victim mentality instilled into some kids and some kids are taught that they are the best by being decent in small school youth sports which is laughable to me. I guess that's why the WOS and Newton's of the world are great year after year, they work their tails off year round, buy into tough coaching, and play for their teammates above themselves. Now onto the game, WH should win but Cody will have his kids ready. 30-22 WH is my prediction.
  14. Coach Foster at Big Sandy deserves some credit. He always seems to get the most out of the group he has, and is never afraid to play up in competition.
  15. With Verlander on the mound and momentum on their side, I would like to think they’ve got a pretty good chance.
  16. I read he’s been second guessing himself and changing his approach mid at bat. Hope he goes back to what worked and figured it out.
  17. I think it benefits the Astros. Yanks have to win 3 of 4 and have no more off days to rest their pen. It does help the Yanks in the sense of slowing down the Astros momentum though.
  18. Altuve scores on a wild pitch, Gurriel hits a sac fly to score Brantley, 4-0 Astros going into the bottom of the 7th.
  19. What a blah game! Glad they have Verlander and Cole going in games 2 and 3 but last I checked they aren't in the batting lineup. Offense is gonna have to get going!
  20. Worst I’ve seen Sam play in awhile. Offensive line was bad. Win out for a rematch! Lamb looked like Houdini out there.
  21. Shug taking over! Let’s go!!!
