I've been to many Mustang games in my lifetime.  If you listen to or agree with the majority of the people in the stands you are probably not on solid ground.  I can remember before the state championships came I often heard how lousy coach Hooks was. I also distinctly remember no matter who was at quaterback, it was always the wrong one.  In all fairness its ok to disagree with playcalling or have an opinion about whats going on. When I do I whisper it to my buddy sitting next to me to get it off my chest and to ensure that no one but him knows how smart I am.  IMO this is not the right time nor place for those arguments but alas it is a free country.

From what I understand it was his idea to have fewer varsity coaches, not a budgeting decision. The coaching turnover is strange. Some turnover was needed but some fine coaches have been pushed out or decided to leave.  As for the outsiders wanting to comment on parent intervention problems, unless you know this for a fact you should really not make these accusations.  This has been a knock on the program for years. As for as the past goes I can't comment on because I dont know but IMO that isn't the problem now. 

Great game Stangs. Not to bring up an old sore subject but I think props are deserved for the OC.  He has taken his lumps on this website.  If you are gonna kick him when you disagree w/ his calls, you need to step up and congratulate him when he does a good job.  Not that I'm any kinda of expert, but I thought the play calling was great.  When you execute, all plays are good calls.

Don't think it would have mattered who Lumberton had on the d line.  Viator was taking on all comers no matter who it was.  Would have been nice to see him getting some carries earlier in the year.

IMO Hussy is the difference maker in this one.  Both are good teams but that kid is special.  

Was at the game.  This game was close because 1) for some reason Hussy did not get the ball enough (he is tough) and 2) LC-M decided to do some power running up the middle (wish we could have figured this out earlier in the year).  Hussy & Viator are as about as tough as they come.  Good luck Lumberton.

Let me give you a little secret about the karma thing.  If you type the letters WO-S (please forgive me karma gods) without some glowing, positive, worshipping post, you will be smited.  At first I kinda took it personally, but now I wear the negative karma with pride. I guess its all in good fun.  You know they (karma gods) have the power and the rest of us are at the mercy of their "smiteness". I think you too can be a karma god by making like 200 or so posts. (You know, if you don't have a life or something).  ;D ;D

I don't think they will  be better next year cause they are losing alot. I hear a few players that migrated over there from Wo-s is coming back to Wo-s next year...you know they aren't use to losing like that. I think this was their best year to make the playoffs after this year, it will be a struggle.

Not sure if any of this is factual or just speculation, but if they aren't "used to losing" I have a simple  remedy.  Put in the work & dedication necessary to start winning. Don't jump ship.  Be a difference maker.  I can assure you many of the other players, coaches & fans don't like losing either.

BINGO.  This is a one of many problems.  Because of the ease of going back & forth, you never know who is going to stay and who you're gonna have  who you can depend on.

im refering to the stark foundation scholarship (i guess u can call it that) i think inspire 12 is what it is called, i could be wrong if so please correct me. I dont mean for it to start anything, i thought it would be relevant to another post.

But as i understand it, the stark foundation has begun a scholarship to every orange county senior who has been in the school district through out their education, as in wocccisd or lcmisd. I just find it weird/funny that mauriceville is able to dip in.

I didn't know the Stark Foundation was supposed to be a charitable fund for WO-S ???.  Someone may want to alert the foundation's board about this.  As long as there is enough for both why would you care who gets it.  Also you may want to get your facts straight about the funding of Inspire 12.  Why don't you get involved and see if you can help get funding for all of Orange County schools?  I think it would be great if Orangefield, BC & Vidor could be included if enough funds could be raised.  

Can anyone explain to me why midway thru the 4th quarter and needing 2 scores, we run the clock down on a bunch of plays doing some sort of square dancing formations?  Clock management was poor.  Great effort by both teams. Congrats.  Hope the Bears keep their heads up & keep playing hard.  Good things will happen.

Why would Norton come back? I do not know but I don't think this is a job that he would even consider.  Got a pretty good thing going where he is now.

Geez,  I am now going to be worried all week @ where Mustangs fans can park & sit.  We get dissed for not scheduling them and then when we do get dissed about the facilites.  We do the best we can out here for a bunch of country folks.
