  1. I agree, but Sezar could have another 200 yard plus game and things could get very interesting. Not saying LC-M wins this game, but I am saying it is not an automatic win for Ned. Yes Nederland has played tougher opponents and won all but one, but I promise you the Nederland coaching staff is focusing only on the Bears right now. If Ned wins, they did what they were supposed to do, but it is high school football......
  2. I think Ned may be too strong this year for the Bears, but being at home, it shant be an easy victory. LC-M will scrap to the end just like the Dogs will. We may be outgunned Friday night, but I promise you LC-M will leave it all on the field. That's all you can ask of any team. Good luck to both teams and pray for a injury free night.....
  3. Do you think maybe it was a mental let down from the big win last week? Coldspring definitely has athletes, plus they are big and strong, it just seemed something was missing from them tonight. It was a great win for us, but I know the Trojan fans feel let down.,...
  4. Good job 'Stangs, ya'll just keep rolling along and taking care of business. Very impressive 4-0 year so far and I think the possibility of going 10-0 is very doable. Congrats again....
  5. Good post, Skipper, I agree the Bears needed a win, and to beat Coldspring is a huge boost in confidence. The rest of the year will be tough, LC-M hopefully will keep playing hard and maybe good things can come their way.....
  6. Does Coldspring have trouble holding onto the ball? Hmmm, maybe with a few turnovers the Bears might hang around. Going to be a good night for football, good luck to both teams and hope we have an injury free game.
  7. Not sure Skipper, I remember playing Caney Creek in the past, but don't remember Coldspring. Maybe someone else has better information on this than I do.
  8. Give us a little hint, Smitty, name, initials, year, anything....You've got our curiosity up and the wheels are turning.
  9. Oh, now you've done it. Beating LaMarque and predicting a win over LC-M is one thing, but taunting the Mustangs will cause long a grevious retaliation. Let the games begin!!
  10. Man, no love for the Bears this year...."gonna get ugly", "CS by a lot", even a "cakewalk", maybe LC-M should just not even play the game. The Bears get to come home for the first time this year, gonna be cooler, better football weather, coming off a week of rest and getting healthy. Nowwith all that said, Cold Spring takes this one easy....
  11. Should be a very good game, athletes and speed on both sides of the line for both teams. I see the 'Stangs winning on a 49 yard field goal, how about you, Skipper?
  12. Oh, my goodness, you are a brave man, Smoking Baby. Hilarious though....
  13. I know I'll never forget that night, it was a very special time for our community. The kids still want to win their games of course, but there seems to be less animosity now. Remember back in '97 when WO-S lost to Lamarque in the playoffs and LC-M had to face them the next week. A lot of the Mustang football team came over to LC-M's pep ralley and gave words of encouragement. I remember one athlete saying we didn't get it done, but we think that ya'll can. Some things are more important than wins and losses....
  14. Now that is funny, Skipper, that would be an Orange Bowl for the archives.
  15. This game will be a smashmouth slug fest.....Gonna be a great one. The Rez will be rockin with two good ball clubs squaring off, pretty evenly matched physically, and both will fight to the end.
  16. Good post Bad Indian, I know a lot of good people from all districts. Focus people, FOCUS......
  17. Hate to hear such tragic news.......Prayers from Bear country.....
  18. I think they will...Bears are playing good ball this year. If the defense can step up and put more pressure on the offenses they have left to play, Bears should be fine. They get PN-G and Nederland at home, so that will help. Gonna be fun the rest of the year..... You can count those two as losses my friend, I don't think you will win another distrist game. Remember you all barely beat THE NACH, this 20-4A now. Just your opinion, my friend, and everyone's got one.....
  19. I think they will...Bears are playing good ball this year. If the defense can step up and put more pressure on the offenses they have left to play, Bears should be fine. They get PN-G and Nederland at home, so that will help. Gonna be fun the rest of the year.....
  20. Ozen impressed me! Can't wait to see the Ozen vs Livingston game.
  21. If Vidor can shut down Green and company, then ya'll have a great secondary. I can't wait to see how this one plays out, come on Friday night!!! Good luck to both teams, no injuries.....
  22. Both LC-M and Ozen's offenses hurt themselves last Friday night. LC-M lost some chances to score points with bad decisions as well as Ozen did. The Bears could have kept it closer,  Ozen lost chances with penalties, etc. The way Ozen and Central fought it out, this game could be very similar. Whoever makes the least mistakes could come out on top. LC-M is playing good ball, Central is hungry to get on the winning track = another good football game. I'll still take the Bears!
  23. From an unbias observer, I don't think Green and the receiving core can be stopped. However, the Pirate defense will keep them in the game, and their style of offense should keep it close. Green is definitely a talent, but his receivers made all the catches needed, especially on 3rd and long. This should be another great game, there are no Friday nights off in 204A this year. Look for Vidor and Ozen to give a hard fought, nail biting ball game. Good luck to both teams....
