If the Indians start 0-3, don't give up on them....WO-S, SC, and what should be a very strong Silsbee group will all be tough to get past. BUT, after that the Indians will be battle tested and ready for a run in district. If they win in non-district, well get ready 204A, there will be a battle for the 4th spot.
They will beat WO-S.  ;)
Mr. BG, you're not expecting the Bears to thrash the Mustangs around in game 1, and have them beat up for the Indians are you? Now if THAT was to happen......

We have plenty of room on the visitor side unless Nederland, PN-G, Vidor, Central, or Ozen come to town.....Ups, I forgot Lumberton.

The only ones left out of that in our district is Livingston! lol  When we played LCM last year we got to the game almost an hour ahead of time and seating was pretty much gone already.  By the time kickoff rolled around fans were standing all over the track.
Yeah, it's a shame seating is so cramped over there. On the home side, however, you can lay down and watch the game.....

How many spare boxes do you have BG? Things have been pretty bleak in LC-M for a while now, maybe you could help us out. I'll even help with the post hole prep.....
Sorry, WO-S pays better than LC-M  ;D
Well, now I see how it is....Let me beat the bushes and I'll get back to you! We'll need a pickup truck load, so it may take a while.....

The Mustangs will be strong and competetive every year, it's in the program. Look for another district title and a run in the play offs....
Silsbee will have a say in that next year, I can assure you. They will be loaded, especially on offense.
Yeah, you're right Gas....That should be a real hard one for the title. I'll still go with the Stangs to win it, though, but I know it will be a slug fest.

For the past few years Thanksgiving has been pretty sweet.  Eat some turkey, watch some football, go to sleep, wake up after Thanksgiving and meet your friends that you haven't seen for a year at the Broncos playoff game.  This one and done stuff has seriously impacted my social schedule.  To top it off, I keep checking the message board out of habit only to be reminded that it's basketball season in Dayton.  Oh well, happy turkey day everyone.  Gobble, gobble.

Gotten used to it in Bear country. Haven't seen play-offs since '97, we just pick which games should be the best and go attend. Sit on either side, doesn't matter, pull for either side, doesn't matter, actually enjoy watching football without getting upset over the outcome. Give it a shot, just saying....
  6. Stangs by 21......I agree with you Skipper, each game is one at a time now, focus and bring your A-game every week and keep on rolling. Anything can happen in high school football. The best team doesn't always win, there is always that rotten X factor lurking close by. If the Mustangs continue to play Mustang football, it should be a long run.....Good luck WO-S, make Orange county proud!!!

Vidor will have to ball control and keep that Sc offense off the field (which they are very good at doing by the way)...while their defense may not be the fastest..they ARE very quick reacting. One thing I do know..if Sc takes Vidor lightly they will get beat. Vidor is an outstanding, well-coached team. Vidor may have to play their best game of the year to earn the victory. On th Sc side, you can't have turnovers for sure. A turnover free game from Sc may make it difficult for Vidor to win. GO PIRATES!
Good post, turnovers may well decide the winner.....Going to be a thriller.
  8. Both teams are going to get to see what real good looks like, should be a slobber-knocker of a ball game. This one will be well worth the price of admission, and I see it too close to call to make any predictions. Summers Creek has played like a machine all year, plus they are big, fast, and athletic. Vidor matches up pretty well, imo, and they are a hard nosed, gritty team. The Pirates will not go away, period. Good luck to both teams, and roll on the Mighty Black Pearl......

Word on the street is Montana and Moore are setting out Friday night to be ready for the playoffs.... ;D ;D ;D ;D
I think that the Vidor City Manager (at the request of Coach Mattherws) just cordoned off and closed that street. Wouldn't wager a lot on that word! ;D
Good one, usedtobe. Since the street has been closed, I guess there is not much truth in it, but, hey a guy can hope!! Looking forward to seeing Vidor this Friday, maybe the Bears can hang in and make it a game. I guess Coach Mathews just has too much clout around here, lol.
