  1. Matthews has made Vidor competitive and when teams play Vidor they do not know for sure if they can beat us like it used to be. I appreciate the work he has done there, I think the community should support him with competive pay for him, his coaches and trainers. And the boys should step up and play with pride and they can win some games. They have good athletes at Vidor and I know they can do it.

  2. Thanks for the list. Matthews has stayed and been committed to the program. At times I question the some of the assistants that he uses, but he cares about the program and is at almost every event. I can remember when everybody knew they could beat Vidor until Thompson came to town, with Matthews we have earned a lot of respect. It has been a tough year for us but I don't think we should give up on Matthews or the team.

  3. I do think Lumberton will make the playoffs this year. They would probably not have beaten Dayton if there quarterback had not got hurt. Nederland is tough and would have been stronger with there quarterback but the sophomore is no slouch. Central and LCM are both playing good. Lumberton has a strong group of seniors that will finally get them to the playoffs. Vidor, PNG and Ozen are struggling.

  4. St. Pius won there game against Bay City with 27 seconds left in the game. Vidor can win this game if they limit there mistakes. Losing two tailbacks against WOS will hurt them, but the fullback is one of the best I have seen in Vidor in a long time. Franklin is a lot quicker this year also. Defense look a little week but that was only there first scrimmage and they should improve.

  5. St. Pius had four divison 1 signees from last year. There whole team is not back but they can recruit any one. They will be tough, I hope Vidor's two tailbacks were not hurt too bad in the scrimmage but there injuries did not not look good. Vidor's fullback did not play the second half but WOS could not stop him the first half. Quarterback looked real quick for Vidor the few times he did run the ball.
