Navasota has some very good athletes and they kill the boards. Reality is Silsbees below average is better than most in the state.

Also Silsbee is good enough to force you to run. HJ didnt press in either game and were very succesful for 6 of the 8 quarters against Silsbee. Problem is they are so good at some point they will force you to run because you don't have enough gaurds to stay patient on the press. It's like it happens and you never knew it.

Navasota doesn't have the shooters to play with silsbee. Navasotas only chance is to slow it way down, have the best 3 point shooting night of their life and Silsbee have the worst. That still probably won't be enough.

It will be an outsider. Mark it down.

Ozen has produced D1 players that have been really good. Others havent. The talent is better period. Central and Silsbee have had some recently but overall Ozen's is superior.

Ozen's talent has and continues to be far superior to anyone in this area. That is a simple fact. With that said Saveat is a fine coach and deserves recognition.

While HJ has been on the winning side the games have all been great. Navasota is far overdue to beat HJ but who knows. Should be a good one.

Silsbee just flat out better than everyone. If they don't win it this year I am not sure it will happen. They are really good. No.....they are great.

What parents fail to realize in college recruiting is one of the first questions coaches ask high school coaches is "what are the parents like?" College coaches won't and don't have to put up with parents who "think" they know. It is a huge detriment to the kids.

15 & 16 year old kids aren't evaluating talent around them and making decisions where to go to school based on that. If they are and parents are listening....well that speaks volumes about them.

people have been saying hj is gonna be down next year every year for as long as i can remember...that pipeline is plenty full...just because no one is on a message board touting their young kids as the next great thing doesnt mean anything

The fun thing is to compare them. Lincoln may have been the better team but no one would have ran that HJ team out of the gym. No one.

Undefeated Ozen team has to be mentioned along with several of the 80’s PA Lincoln teams. However, as I was reading through the book written by Charles Breithaupt “Press On” about the 1991 Hardin-Jefferson team Todd Sutherland is quoted in the book saying, “This was the best team I have ever been around and I have been blessed to be around some great teams. I told my wife Jenny, ‘Don’t get used to this. This team is not normal.’ “

ZERO teams have backed out in fact all have indicated they will be back with a waiting list half a dozen teams deep. Also would be pretty interesting that EC would be the replacement considering they are on different weekends and Big Sandy plays in both. You have no credibility hsbballfan. None!
