Soundly Defeating PNG? (by 5 points)...hmmm, OK, sounds legit. NOT!

This will be a long day today. Hope both teams make their last practices count & have no further injuries. Best on Best & Healthy on Healthy for the Bum Bowl Title. (Got to love that Mid-County Madness!!!)

Let's compare: Sherman, TX to Denison, TX City to City: (10 miles or so apart) Combined Town Population: Sherman, Tx & Denison, TX Approx: 52,000 (Not counting surrounding areas) Nederland vs. Port Neches, TX (1 step apart, literally) Combined Town Population: Nederland, Port Neches, Groves: Approx: 45,000 (There is not much surrounding area) I have no idea how many fans Sherman vs. Denison games draw.. Nederland vs. Port Neches- Groves game can draw 15, 000, or 1/3 the entire population. Consequently, there are many more fans for Mid-County Madness that can't get tickets. I understand that you feel your rivalry is superior & you are entitled to your opinion. Comparisons can go on forever, but to see PNG vs Nederland, is to believe in the magic & spectacle.

In your dreams you have a better QB. Our receiver play speaks for itself, you will see that PNG has the edge there. By the way, watch our #22 (Logan) he will show you who can hit hard from the linebacker position. Mid-County Madness will open your eyes that you may see the truth!!!

Mature Heads prevailing: This is a Football game: Both Teams want to win, both teams have there own special areas of talent & yes, both teams have playoff quality coaches. I stated earlier that this will be a good game, a hard fought game. Coach LN has proved he knows how to win. Coach BF has led PNG to the playoffs nearly every season. I have nothing but respect for the players & coaches for both teams. On a personal note: I hate losing to Nederland the past several years, however, I'll take a PNG coach that has trouble beating Nederland, but gets my Indians to the playoffs. This is preferable to me than trying to find a coach that can beat Nederland, but might not get to the playoffs. This series will always be the highlight of district football play for PNG. It will not be the highlight of the football season, 'cause that is the playoff games job. I wish my Indians all the power to play well this week & beat Nederland. I wish them more power to prove that when we go to the playoffs, we prove we should be in the playoffs & let Coach BF get the better of those other playoff teams. NOW THAT IS INDIANS FOOTBALL!!!!

Common opponents does not matter. Head to Head matters. PNG often has the weapons to win, but LN always finds a way to win. I believe this may be one close, great game between two teams that want it bad. I have no prediction. The team that has the fewest turnovers, and can establish the run, wins this one.

PNG already has 2 wins at Stallworth this year. This is a great choice for the 1st round playoff game.

PNG has Stallworth reserved for Friday night on 1st playoff weekend, regardless of the opponent.

From the Pngisd site: Nederland Ticket Sales: Nederland tickets will be sold on Thursday, November 3 from 7:00am-4:00pm at the stadium ticket booth. All tickets are general admission. There is a six (6) ticket limit per customer and all customers must have their driver's license with them to prove their PNGISD residency. Employee passes, player passes, and purple cards are not accepted for this game. All spectators must have a ticket. FYI this is for PNG residents.

Have fun celebrating the game. Not making others ill because of your inconsiderate ignorance spraying powder and chemicals in the air. I simply assume we raised moral, caring children in this area. No wait I assumed we raised football fans, not powder fans.

I personally hate this powder spray ignorance. I have been going to the PNG games for 51 years. My wife and I go to the game to watch football. Not to be forced to leave early because of an asthma attack. The powder needs to go away & stay away from a crowded stadium full of people. If parents have not taught common courtesy to their kids, it's about time they start.

Adam Morse was a three year starter at quarterback for PNG. Not much playoff success, but great level headed quarterback.

Should just rename the Stadium "The Zoo". Seems logical! After all it has either Panthers, Jaguars, or Bruins roaming around inside of it most of the time. LOL

Never underestimate any opponent. Go in there to execute plays offensively, and shut the opposing team down defensively. 100% all the time! That's how you should play every play, of every game!!!

I assume that Season Ticket Holders will be able to get Ozen tickets on Wednesday, due to the tickets not being available prior to the season starting. I am curious as to whether they will be $5, or $6 dollars pre-sale, since we could not get the tickets with our primary order? Anyone know?

Cannot be one dimensional in this game. Nederland will find a way to score. We must run & pass effectively to keep the "Dog" defense from keying on anything.

Agreed. Nederland has had our number. Somehow, they find a way against PNG, so you cant count the "dogs" out. PNG must beat Central, and take care of business against Ozen. ONE GAME AT A TIME PLEASE!!!

I believe that means Central is too good to schedule for homecoming. Total respect from this PNG fan. Looking for a great game.

Superintendent has made it clear that if Livingston has extra money, or a bond election passes, that no changes will be made to the football stadium. Livingston loves the fact that the entire fan base of some schools can't come to their games. Interesting logic? Give up football game revenue, for lack of visiting crowd support.

Exactly!!! Intentional assault act. No more football for the season for this kid!!! His coach & parents should insist he not be allowed to play. Not just because he may have been "bonehead" as it was said, but because he sought to "intentionally" injure another player. Suppose that was your kid he stepped on. Would you say, oh it's OK, he just made a mistake? I don't think so!!!
