[/quote] I agree.  Your property value is directly tied to the schools.  I have rental property just like the people who paid to get the bond defeated.  If my taxes go up then the rent goes up too!  I make my money either way and my property maintains or increases in value because people actually want to live here and send their kids to our schools. I never really understood their logic in paying a guy to shoot down the bond.  It is very short sighted if you ask me.  But then again they are old and could probably careless what happens to Nederland in 20 years.

Which team will bounce back from the loss on Tuesday?

Nederland is [b]way[/b] up this year.  They have 17 compared with only 7 last year.  One reason could be, that they have yet to play a game at home.  Usually the Dogs have played almost half of their games at home by now. Nederland's park is one of the toughest parks in the area to hit HR's in.  The wind always blows in from left and center is where fly balls go to die.

Ouch!  I'm having a rough day.  I guess I'll have to go drown my sorrows in my green beer. :-[
