  1. The Hill has all the skill on the field to compete at a high level against any team in the district and win, hands down. The last two games came down to the mental mistakes. STOP with the un-sportsman like conduct! Don’t forget your playing for a team, if you have to throw a punch the UFC may just be the answer for you!  If the coaching and a few dads put the fear of God in a few swollen egos, the Hill will win both on the scoreboard and as a team.

  2. Time to set the record straight!

Great Game, one of the best I’ve seen in years.

Nederland played outstanding and never took their eyes on the end zone…

The Hill played just as impressive and was in it to win it. - BUT the yellow flags are killers!

I did NOT like seeing the big man #81 on the sidelines. With that guy walking around water bottles on the sideline, the slot receivers was truly the only down field threats and we didn’t hear their names much in this game. The Ned secondary could focus on #4 and #15 and that seems to be what they did.

But that wasn’t why Barbers Hill walked away with a loss in the game! AND it wasn’t because of poor play calling.. I heard multiple individuals at the end of the game complaining about the play calls….

The cost of this game lays at the hands of a few players who seems to think they have rights about their teammates to get technicals…. The Hill was just inches multiple times from dancing in the end zone and here’s comes that awesome sweet little yellow flag… Un-sportsman like conduct!! Massive setback for the game. Hope it was worth it…

  3. Nederland has no more talent on the field than BH. What I know about Ned is simple: Anyone that has ever seen a Bulldog game already knows they come to play hard nose football. Never Ending Football from the first kickoff until the horn - Dogs will be playing Hard Nose to the bitter End!

The Hill will need to keep the little yellow flags the zebras back pockets and keep the turnovers to zero. No mental mistakes – ZERO! The Hill cannot turn the ball over like they did with Dayton or they will be destroyed. If all key players are on the field for the Hill and they play mistake free, this will be a roller-coaster ride. Mistake free football for the Hill can lead to a W.

  4. One of my all-time favor games to watch…. Dayton’s true colors show when the Hill walks into their house. I have seen the Dayton boys really shine when they face BH or Crosby; Dayton gets a little more salty with the hometown rivals. Do NOT even think about under estimating Dayton not when it comes to playing BH or Crosby!

BHFAN has already pointed out some facts about both Dayton and BH, not much to add to that, other than to say, As long as BH O-Line protects, the hands group will work magic. The big question is can the Hills D keep Dayton out of the end zone. The Hill has to be firing off on every cylinder to take home the win. It will be a great game, lot of ups and downs but at the end of the night I’m giving the W to BH.

  5. The Hill started the game flat and from that point, it was a snowball effect. I’ve reviewed the game now four times and the one thing that stands out more than anything, Magnolia's front was in charge of the entire game. When they ran the ball up the middle, it looked like Moses parting the red sea! Magnolia's QB I think I seen him eating a sandwich before he throw the ball down the field. The Hill could not move Magnolia's D and Magnolias rush was felt throughout the game. Magnolia controlled the trenches!

I’m not a big believer in touch football but I tell you what. BH is straight giving it to PNG right now. BH looks a lot more physically impressive than PNG. BH receivers just line up and run right past PNG’s dbs.

I know RJ’s number one feature is his legs and he can’t use them in 7 on 7 but if this is all PNG will put on the field for him to throw to it could be a long year if the district has some decent defenses. PNG has one fast kid and no size. I think the best the can hope for is probably a third place finish, maybe fourth.

    That’s what I seen also.

Crosby QB, Jaiden, was the most impressive QB of the day. He had the arm strength to go deep anytime he wanted with pin point accuracy. Not bad on the receiving end of the ball to boot.

whats the expected result on the hill ?  6-4 about right or nah

Great question. I’ve been pondering the same question the day I seen our district now including Big Ned., Neches, and Vidor. Before I could look over the district game schedule and be within 98% on wins and losses, not this go around. It will suit the Hill to strap on its cleats tight and prepare for an uphill battle from the start to the end of the season. On a side note, I am so excited to see the Hill play the mid county boys, what a touch group of old school football players!

  9. The Hill took a shot this season with the QB going down. But slowly the momentum is starting to grow and the confidence is starting to show. The big question is, is it enough to have a W when the clock strikes zero - Hard to speculate but my thoughts are; NC is a wrecking ball on offence, they will find the end zone no matter what. The Hills D has been salty all season and I don’t see a change with that. NOW it is mandatory that the Hill stops with the illegal motions and holding calls.  The Hill has as much talent on the field and has shown they can get in the end zone at will when their heads are in the game. If and only If the Hill stops with the penalties expect a game that will leave you screaming and cheering. Whoever wins the game will say “Thank God the clock ran OUT!"

  11. It was Very hard to watch this game. I had difficulty watching the game against Crosby, as well. I do understand we are hurting in the back field with our running backs. I understand the idea of keeping a defense honest with a good running game. But when your QB becomes the running back and the main offensive legs - bad things will follow! What I find just as shocking is our receivers made good space between them and the D. But our QB was running the ball or running for his life. Even the corner for Kindwood I think his number is #6, Jackson, who is Outstanding - works both sides of the ball O  & D! He shadowed #81 all night but he did so with respect and many times 81 was left 5 yards of space.  Now when the ball did go in the air it was in desperation and did not look like it was part of the game plan.  Much to think about in the  coming week.
