  1. The real question is, what is the over/under on how many times PAM fans blame the 'Home" officials during the duration of the game.
  2. I think Carter needs more touches, he just seems to have a different gear then Warren and Porter.
  3. For some reason people like to believe that MID-County has their special refs for home games. I crack up every time I read it. Lack of not knowing how the ref pickings are done and now that the Beaumont chapter doesn't exist, you never know where your official are coming from. I have cousin who is from Spring and their chapter has a few games down here.
  4. Some of these young men have gone through a terrible disaster and watched their community get ravished by Harvey. Football for some of them will be their get away from the real world and let them enjoy the game they love to play and we love to watch. I pray for the safety of both teams and for a great game. I expect a high intensity game, with a lot of passion being on displayed. Regardless of the outcome of this game, just realize some of these kids are going back to shelters or living with family. Their world has been turned upside down. PAM - 35 CEN - 28
  5. Honestly I wish the outcome would have been in our favor but it wasn't. I truly believe that this game just made us a better football team. SO many learning opportunities to take away from this game. Ehlinger learned that these are men and not HS boys he is playing with. I have a feeling that's one of the last times somebody comes and strips the ball away from him. He took care of the ball better in the second half besides the stripped fumble. I have a feeling him and Shackelford will be working a lot together on getting the snap down correctly. I still think Shane throws a more accurate football but I don't know if he can be as elusive as Sam. Young Reggie Hemphill-Mapps learned if the ball is about to go into the end zone then leave it alone. He was just trying to help his team, but sucks being on -2 yd line. That touchdown before half, I put on the coaches and think they will be better prepared for that situation next time. It was a great play call to get the ball to their best player. We have a bye and that is great because we need to heal up. I have a few personnel questions I don't get but doesn't everybody. 1. Why are they so in love with Porter 2. What happen to Duvernay (WR), I figured he be a big time playmaker this year. 3. It seems every time Ehlinger threw a completion, they take him out and bring in Heard. Just seems like it would mess up his rhythm.
  6. I think yall are forgetting the Bulldog Way, Nederland has far as I can remember under Larry Neumann always used scrimmages and even pre-district to move kids around. Countless times I've seen Nederland go 0-3, 1-2 in pre-district then go on to win district or at least make the playoffs. I've always said Coach Neumann was a great coach because he knew where to play his players and I believe Coach Barrow will also take the same strategy. Nederland will be fine and the reason for that is, because they live in a great community, they have been brought up in a great program and have been coached well.
  7. I see it playing out like this: 1.) PAM 2.) PNG 3.) NED 4.) VID/CEN 5.) VID/CEN 6.) LUM 7.) OZEN 8.) LIV 9.) LEE
  8. Hey what about that Dakota Baxter kid? He was on varsity as sophomore and got some PT last year at DB. Is he still playing or did he move since nobody is bring his name up? From what I remember he looked pretty good as sophomore.
  9. I know the defense is going to be our biggest question mark, but how does the O-line look. If they can get after it, we will be really hard to stop.
  10. Hope it stays this way, but with how recruits are these days, we better win and get close to 9-10 wins this season. I figure there will be a few areas like TE, WR and DB where we will lose a guy from because of the number of recruits committing in those positions.
  11. Hook Em'......best decision this young man could have mad and cant wait to see him on the 40 Acres.
  12. Couldn't have said it better my self. At the end of the day , that's why we play the game because rankings are humanely biased to the state favorites and towns like SETX will always be under dogs till proven (WOS).
  13. On a side note, I don't usually post in baseball forum but if this was the football page their would have been three to four pages by now.
