2.

He will definitely be at better use there.  8)
Why?  He is going to have much less talent to work with.
How can you possibly believe that?  Doesn't Atascocita have 700+ more students than West Brook?

 4.
This could be brutal! Good Luck Cardnials. Kentucky 89 Lamar 54!
I think you are right...it COULD be brutal.  Kentucky plays the type of ball that could really kill us.  We have to do a good job handling their press and we have to slow things down by playing great defense.  I think we can keep them in the 70's and I agree with Lazeek - 74 -52 Kentucky wins.  We will continue to have problems scoring.

PK is not saying that he is going to try and replace the NAIA and DIII schools with additional top ranked opponents. Replacing them with ULL, ULM, USA, UNT, etc., would be much better for prep for conference.
We know what he is saying ;) Still, you don't want a situation where the big D1's don't want to play LU
. Another dumb post!  What is your point?  We shouldn't play them?  But if we do we should make sure they beat us by 30+?

 8.
Lets pray the LSU's, Kentucky's, Duke's, Baylor's , Arizona's , and etc decide not to take on Lamar in the future  ;)
Why?  That is who we need to be playing.  We probably could beat Lsu this year.
 9. As a sidenote.  I thought he played pretty well while he was in there.  He overthrew the deep ball a couple of times but, before he broke his ankle he was throwing a very nice ball.  The first interception was no hands Jackson's fault.  The second was Berry's if you ignore the fact that he was throwing with a broken ankle.  Good lord!!  Watching the game I was thinking "either this kid is the biggest drama king in the world or he is hurting pretty bad".
 10.
AggiesAreWe, I am not surprised.  From our seats behind the bench it looked ugly, and Berry could barely stand up.  Poor, poor coaching call.  Bevil should have put on his helmet and gone out there if Woodard needed someone to throw Hayes three more passes.
Come on now.  Bevil was in severe pain.  I think his bandaid came off of his hangnail.  Why wasn't Tatum put in?
 11. How about Monsignor Kelly High School?  They have really upgraded their facilities.
 12.
Technically he is suspended indefinitely. He has a chance to change his attitude and his lazy ways, and if he does he will be reinstated to the team. If not, his collegiate career is over. Hopefully he can get it right. PA News had an article about it today if someone wants to post it.
Obviously Roccaforte had constant problems with him because he was always suspending him or not playing him.  I say cut him loose.  I believe in first and second chances but this is probably 10+ chances for him.  Ridiculous.
 13.
I thought Oral Roberts was a great addition but I'm not a fan of HBU. Their basketball arena is only a little bigger than the current setup at McDonald Gym seating 1,000......yes only 1,000. And no lights at the baseball field. ZERO fan support. I think Abilene Christian would be a good fit. The basketball arena  isn't huge (4,000) but it's nicer than a lot of the SLC schools already. Baseball seats 1,000 and has LIGHTS! Football plays at Shotwell Stadium. If you go the route of adding an Oklahoma school maybe Central Oklahoma????? And I have no clue who to add from Arkansas. Arkansas Tech or Henderson State???? Enrollments Central Oklahoma (17,101) Arkansas Tech (10,464) Abilene Christian (4,558) Henderson State (3,584) Oral Roberts (3,200).....Hoops and baseball history give them a pass. Houston Baptist (2,200)........seriously SLC?
Geez, don't be so negative.  They had 500 fans at their basketball game!  (That was the reported number, so actual was probably 318).  I just hope we figure out a way to invite Lutheran South High School next.  And maybe Bishop Byrne?
 14. Hate to hear about Prewitt, I saw that he was done on the coaches show.  He said that he was REALLY out of it. Great that Andre is healthy and able to start.  He is awesome.  And the coaches are fantastic so I'm sure we will have a great game win by a very large margin. Go team!
 15.
Personally I am not worried about next year.  Yes we loose six seniors but I have confidence in Knights recruiting.  He has three guards signed for next year and if the big men continue to progress we may be a better team next year than we will be this year.  Devon Lamb will be the hardest to replace as players with that kind of work ethic are hard to come by.
Why wasn't Knight successful at Tech?
 16.
Nay-sayers kinda silent right now
We are awesome.  The coaches are great.  Bevil, Jackson, Hayes, Venson, the Chavis brothers, our offensive line; heck, all the players were great. And, to all you potential recruits that are out there reading this board to try and decide whether or not to come here, we love you and will never say a negative word about you!!!  GO BIG RED!!!
 17. Great win for the Cards!!! Excellent job bye every single coach!! Fantastic job by ALL of the players!!! GO BIG RED!!!
 18.
Well, a true QB draw even out of the pistol or spread the QB takes a step or two back then normally tries to hit a lane between the center and guard. The read option on the other hand it taken outside the tackle. Yea, he carried the ball over twenty times but I guess that was just part of the game plan. Go Big Red!
Well thanks...golly, who knew what a qb draw was!! There were other designed running plays for the qb besides the draw.  They had at least (not counting the option) a half dozen designed running plays for the qb.
 19.
whoever starts,, i hope they are working with the receivers who are actually gonna play--whoever they are
Come on now, that would make too much sense.
So what?  It is relative.  They should recruit a little better talent than us but they should also have a little (Lot) tougher conference schedule than us.
They have a WEAK schedule compared to Lamar. (Again apples to apples) USA's schedule. West Alabama D2, Lamar FCS, NC State FBS, Kent St. FBS, UTSA FBS FIRST YEAR!!, Tenn. Martin FCS,Georgia St. FCS2nd year, Henderson St D2, Miss Valley St. FCS,CAL Poly FCS, So USA has played THREE schools on their level.  One of the schools UTSA is in its first season. Of the schools on their level they beat ONE UTSA in overtime.  Boy it sure sounds like the grass is greener over there. So far that is exactly what Lamar has done with the win over SE.  The FCS schools that USA has played would be like Lamar playing D2 schools.  And the D2 schools would be compatible to NAIA schools for LU.  If Lamar were to play a schedule like this the board would be full of comments about how weak the schedule is.  So what is it going to be WINS or Competition.  Hear are the ranks of the FCS schools that USA played provided by AL.com [Hidden Content] Lamar 90 Tenn Martin 64 Georgia St. 104 Miss Valley St. 125 Cal Polly 28 Lamars FCS schedule SE La. 88 Northwestern 20 TX St 33 Central Ark 12 Sam 4 SFA 34 Nicholls St 99 McNeese St. 43 How do you think USA would have done against #4 Alabama , #12 Penn State, and #20 Georgia Tech Like I said before if you want to compare look at Georgia State.  But you don't want to do that.  Because then you don't have anything to complain about.
Not true.  I agree that Georgia State should be a good comparison as well.
hmmm...i wonder how many of those also meet your "Big high school" requirement?
are u referring to academics? or what?
No, I believe he is referring to you seemingly contradicting yourself.  In previous posts you've referred to how superior 5A is to other levels.  Now you are almost trying to argue the opposite on the collegiate level.  I think, perhaps, you have reached a state of temporary insanity.
AGAIN try reading the post and stop trying to make assumptions...IF (make sure u read the IF) I wanted to state something I would simply say it...Since I said there is SOME(key phrase...) talent in the levels below D1(DO WE UNDERSTAND SO FAR?).....And I went on to list some of the more famous names....(DID U FILE SAVE AS IN UR BRAIN....LET IT COMPUTE.....WAIT FOR IT.....WAIT FOR IT......................................................................................OK).  Never stated anything specifically about NAIA....that was u saying JR signed with an NAIA team, Why would Lamar offer Jr?....I'm showing u, there is some talent below D1AA(FCS/FBS, whatever it is now)....U decided to bring that up....that's a conversation that doesn't need to happen behind a monitor....I'm always available for that talk... ;D
I must not have a brain because you confuse me.  You listed small schools with good players.  Ok, I agree small schools have some good players.  What do you mean I brought something up with Jr?  I am confused.  I recall saying good things about him?  Did I post something offensive?  Didn't I say I wished he had walked on at Lamar but he was smart and took the money?  I saw him play a bunch, he's a very good player...heck, I think he was all state. Conversation the doesn't need to happen behind a monitor?  What is that supposed to mean?  Are you going to beat me up you big bully?
I don't fight, lol...I'm too old and out of shape...I'd probably break a nail or something...I apologize if I misunderstood something somewhere....I think we understand each other...If we spoke in person I think we would be able to understand any misunderstandings, u know what I mean?
Yes.  I could make it about 18 seconds into the first round and then I'd have to throw in the towel.
 24.
No offense taken...junior proved he was a player...if he was 6' 1"/6' 2", we aren't having this discussion ...and he'd be playing at UH...The fact that I was told he was NOT going to be offered because he was under 6' is the matter here...can he play at this level? Absolutetly .. Yes he plays NAIA...are u familiar with that? As for the pic, me and my two sons Yes I am aware who is on lamars roster...but also know these guys I talked about could have been red shirted and bulked up .. And competed as red shirt frosh
Oh, and I never responded to this one.  If he was 6' 1" why would he be playing at UH instead of LU? If he wasn't offered a scholarship here because he isn't 6' that is just plain stupid.  Either you can play or you can't.  I know all types of factors go into it but the bottom line is, are you good enough to play at this level?  Arm not strong enough, ok.  Too slow, ok.  Innacurate, ok.  Troublemaker, ok.  Lazy, ok.  Just not quite good enough, ok.  But, not 6'?  Absurd. Yes, I am familiar with the NAIA.  Obviously, I don't pay attention to it as much as Division 1 and now 1-AA since LU brought back football but I am familiar with NAIA. Btw, I'd be thrilled if my son were ever offered a scholarship to play anywhere.  That alone is an incredible accomplishment.  Hell, making it to starting at a "5A" high school football program is impressive.  I'm stoked when my son gets out from in front of the xbox and goes and plays catch in the front yard.
