for me this district starts with Kountze and Kirbyville with buna and ec right behind them

 

it could be vice versa but those are the 4 at the top of the list

Who is Kountze's OC, now?

Now that my nephew has graduated from Warren, I will began cheering for the Kountze Lions & Hardin Jefferson Hawks with family members in both middle schools.

 

Warren was good while it lasted but that community needs a guy who will stick around for those kids. 

 

The young man is special , cant wait till the season start . I wanna see what kind of performance he is gonna put on this football season . Would love too see him play receiver this year . Him in the open field , if he has a good qb there is no reason he couldn't average 20 plus yards a catch . He is explosive!

He was receiver most of the year.

Gotta put your best player at QB...especially at the 3A level

He played wideout most of the season last year.
Larry Haynes at the helm of the offense.
Let's just say he "will not" have an "athlete" at QB

Kountze just went from third to DC favorite.
You'll have to put 60 on them to win.
Haynes and Joubert are offensive geniuses.
Arnold may set records this year.

Warren is going to be 5-5 imo

Getting a lot of kids buying into this new system.

East Chambers will be very good and compete for a district championship. Kirbyville will do the same and is my favorite pre-season. Kountze should have the third spot locked up and could compete for the championship as well. Buna will be down but should compete for that forth spot. Woodville will be much improved and compete for that forth spot as well. Anahuac should be about the same as last year, if not worse. Warren and Hardin will round it out in the woodshed, although I expect Warren to be much better than Hardin this year.

I like this guy. We're better than woodshed material though. Give us a break man. We change coaches every 3-4 games. Ha!

It's just the same thing as every year, "EC will not be as good", "EC will be lucky to make the playoffs", or my favorite "EC is not what they use to be"
They've said it for 20 years and EC always proves them wrong...

What did EC do in the last 20 years? Make the playoffs? That's impressive. #setxDreams some people down here in setx have settled long ago for mediocrity. And then be prideful about it. Scary!


Warren will be much improved and yes EC will be good. Not sure who said they wouldn't be. But good in setx and good in state are way different

It all depends on where you're sitting but for the sake of this discussion, Hwy 190 is a decent boundary. Jasper, Woodville, Newton are SETX. So, to me, Lufkin is NETX in this discussion. If I live in Beaumont, I call Lufkin "East Texas" not SE Texas.

Which makes absolutely zero sense, logically.
Too many teams on this site get southeast Texas credibility that are in no way, seTx. But, they've structured it that way, so run with it. Newton/Jasper/West Sabine (many other) east Texas schools fit the mold. Southeast Texas is more based around Galveston up to Houston metro/over to Beaumont - Liberty county.

Who was hired at West Sabine (HC & AD) ?

Want to start a riot in Hull and Daisetta? Put the new stadium initiative on the ballot. I feel that the resistance would be strong. There are many more things that the school could sink that extra money into.

I think HD deserves better sports facilities.

The district championship is there for whoever wants it the most. Best of luck to all but I hope my Warriors or the hungriest. By the way, this Jeremy Roberts fellow must be a transplant. Most of us from Warren prefer to just let the boys actions speak for themselves.
