It does appear that way, but the 3aBaseball.com ranking is run by Tim Baugh, who lives in Midland. Isn't that Region I? I met Tim last year at Austin. I think he has no axe to grind, is just calling it like he sees it. Now, having said that, I agree with you. I think our top district 21-3a teams could probably take any of them. But somehow, for the moment they have the reputations. If Region III can just beat them all a few more years ......

I think the head to head was discussed "as fact" last year when the teams were tied at one time. My guess is that it IS the rule for the district. I hope that is true so that Jasper can rest the starting pitchers and give some of the young guys some experience. Even so, Jasper needs to win that KV game!

Baloney. Argue that BC gave the regional title to Jasper if you wish. That is just an opinion. But BC did NOT "give" the state title to Jasper. No way. Jasper went to Roundrock and did what BC failed to do the year before. Beat Liberty-Eylau, as well as Abilene Wylie. BC made not one play for Jasper. Jasper did their own playing. True, BC obviously is playing with a lot more focus this year and may well succeed. They are a very tough opponent. But Jasper's season is not yet over, and this adversity may prove to be the best thing that could have happened to them. Certainly, Jasper has had its wake-up call. We will see Friday night how they respond to the call.

Or a tie for second. If BC beats HJ, HJ slips to 4 losses, same as the Silsbee, Jasper winner. And since both split with HJ head to head, it seems there would be a tie for second ?

It is looking like BC and HJ for sure. The other spot will be be decided Friday night between Jasper and Silsbee if both teams win their last game.

Thank you. We will need more than luck. Jasper must get their act together. They had more than a seasons worth of errors and strange plays tonight. But, if they can win out these last two games, they will be in the playoffs. Their fate is still in their own hands.
