I have no idea how the 10.5 margin was computed. However, this I do know. Jasper beat the winner of that district by 9 points. LaVega is the third place team out of that district. That is not very scientific, but I think it is plausible on paper for Jasper to be favored. Unfortunately, the game will not be played on paper.

A scout from one school asked the other whether he wanted to play Hudson or Jasper. Without hesitation he said Jasper. He got his wish, and Jasper took his team to the woodshed.

I want to see these games, but have some potential conflicts. Does anyone have the info as to day and times the first games, and final will be played? People are tying to get committments from me. but this Basketball comes first! The UIL site just lists the days, no times or brackets. I tried the Sam Houston site, but they had no info either.

I have a hunch that many are taking the Bulldogs too lightly. Haven't seen them play this year but know about Bailey and Spikes. How about depth and heighth? The thread shouldn't have anything to do with Silsbee. Somebody give us some info. on WLV. Thanks because as a Jasper fan we are looking forward to one game at a time Absolutely. Hudson wins 55-47 over Fairfield. Jasper 72 Lorena 63 Center 66 Crockett 65 WTG 18-3a! three out of three. There WILL be at least one 18-3a team in the Region III tourney!

Center has a 6-8 guy. He is going to SFA. Didn't do them much good against Jasper the last time they played. Jasper won by 19.

Thanks. Anybody not noticing HAS been sleeping. Jasper has now won some 25 games. It began to look like CH would never score their first points. Jasper got the ball first, scored, then stole the ball and scored, stole the ball and scored, stole the ball and scored, ... Once or twice Jasper stole the ball on the inbound and just dribbled to the basket for a quick two. I forget how many points Jasper had when CH finally scored their first basket. The score was 18-2 at one point if I remember correctly. After that the game was pretty much over although CH did make some runs to narrow the score. Every time CH got close, Jasper just pulled away again. CH did have a lot of quickness as advertised. Jasper was just quicker.

It does not make any difference in the outcome, but I thought the score was 75-62? Jasper had a big lead, but CH whittled away after Jasper put in the reserves. That score still beat "the spread".

Thank you all! Now maybe I can find the gym.

On the Downlow, it was posted that Lufkin High School's gym is at Lufkin Middle School. Now THAT is confusing to a country boy!

I called and talked directly to the Jasper High School athletic department. She said the game is at Lufkin High School at 7:30 tonight according to a memo from the Jasper coach. Note that is a new site altogether. Anybody have good directions to the High School gym?

69 North, when you get to Lufkin go underneath the underpass Lufkin Middle school is about a mile on the left, LMS is across from First Methodist church. You cant miss it Thank you! Now IF that is the correct place we will be in business!

Yeah, me too. Even KJAS has nothing posted. I don't know where to look. Perhaps someone local could call the school and get the straight dope and post it?

If it is the Lufkin Middle School, can someone please post directions.
