The coach has to play the hand he is dealt. Sometimes you don’t get dealt 4 aces. Some people think you should win every year regardless of the hand you are dealt. They should fire Nick Saben for not making the playoffs last year. He had to deal the hand he had. Comments like you have 7 years to win state..ha I guess every team has their haters. It is a terrible thing to hate. There is a couple on here that hate Nederland, bet you do not find them in church today.

So with those qualifications who are they hiring, the coach or the son....

This kid is years ahead of his age. He came to Anahuac and fell right into that program. you need to see him play before you judge him. He will surprise you.

Anahuac QB is the real deal. His dad is one of the assistant coaches for neece. neece hired the coach to get the QB at Anahuac. Nederland would have to hire the QB s dad to get the QB. I think he will be a sophomore next year. Coach Neece was OC at Newton when we won state.

They may graduate from TDC in about25 years.

Yes they had a very good season but we are talking about making it to state. There is just a little bit of difference.

WO-S has 8 on defense and two on offense. Tells you a lot about the consistent teams. The years Newton made it to state 7 times was with good defenses. The same for WO-S, Gilmer and Carthage. PN-G finally figured that out last year. Good defenses give the offenses more opportunities.

People want to pick a player from there own team. Our QB threw 50 times and completed 2 passes but one was to the other team but he should win. Hopefully the best deserving person will win this award. I think the committee has done a good job in the past and will be fair in selecting the best for each position.
