Are you refering to the Competition in west texas (Abilene Wyle), or in the state tournament? Must I remind you that the only returning teams from the State Championship last year were Liberty Eylau (State Champions), and Abilene Wyle. Which one of those won't be any competition?????????

We shall wait and see. I'm not going to count chickens before they hatch. IF LE advances to Austin, IMO, they will have just a good of a chance as anyone there. I don't expect any one team to blow anybody out in the final four. They didn't get there being a pushover.

Thanks bulldog, we may need it. My understanding is that Celina pitched their number two last night and their big right hander will be pitching today. When I say big, the paper said he was 6'7". He has a pretty impressive record with only a couple of loses. The leopards are going to have to hit and play solid defense to advance to the ship.

Your simple fundamentals of baseball are out the window if the umpire is not calling the low strike. I hate umpires that force pitchers to get it up in the batters eyes before they will call it a strike. IMO there are two types of umps, pitchers umps, and hitters umps.

touchemall, you have lost me. I agree that at this level of play, any team can win on any given day. I have not counted anybody out especially my favorite, the Leopards. I was being sarcastic earlier. The earlier post about expo cleared everything up for me on how he didn't speak for the team. I don't have any dogs in your fight. Just hoping that the leopards are in the hunt after this week for the opportunity to play in Austin.

As a Liberty Eylau fan, can anyone give me some stats on these pitchers, strengths, style of pitching....etc.... I fully expect LE to advance to the state championship and hope that we meet up. LE must get past Bridge City first. LE has two great pitchers, one righty who brings the heat (last game was a no hitter), and one lefty with great off speed pitches ( last game was a 3 hitter).

Dear expo, you are correct. LE doesn't stand a chance against BC. Being that ya'll beat Carthage, I don't even know why they are going to play the game at all. LE should stay home and lick their wounds. Congratulations to the Bridge City region champs. Good luck in the Final round.

Although I admire your conviction, I would like to mention that you have not faced the defending 3A State Champions, Liberty Eylau. LE and BC will each need to continue with their great play to advance for the opportunity to claim the title. I'll ride with LE till the wheels fall off. KALE!!!!!!
