I understand. I'm glad he's gonna be ok. I was looking away when he took the hit that sent him out last night, but a buddy I was sitting with said it looked like they picked him up and slammed him. I don't know if it was malicious or intentional or whatever or not, but I do know opponents are gonna try everything they can to take him out as a factor in the game cause they know head to head they can't beat him.

Yea it was clean .. An we no there going to do anything to try an take him out...

Sorry about that...bad choice of words. I more meant all too familiar occurrence. Every since Ty was a freshman he has been a weapon...explosive off the line and untouched if he finds an open field...every time he touches the ball. And his reputation for being a HUGE threat has followed him every game, and it's made him a target. That big X on his back has caused him to be almost cursed with injuries at some point throughout his high school career. If he had been able to stay healthy, he would have set some major records.

Thanks... Just a lil over protective of him

Good job Cats. Still got some work to do but I like the improvements. Ty going out is getting to be an all too familiar problem. I hope he's ok and it turns out to be nothing more than precaution taking him out like that. Congratulations to Orangefield on a VERY hard fought game. This was way too close for comfort.

How is ty going out a problem

Well maybe I was brash about it.  Apologies for the statement but it was not a disparaging comment towards the Kats, more towards the

power and depth of Newton.  If it helps, Ill lay out a few things to supplement my statement.

    1) Kats: lost a ton of experience and from what Ive seen there is not much depth.

Only four teams in the top 20 have fewer returning starters, and three of them are in Div II.

    2) Kats: First Year QB (If I remember right, last years stud graduated) with a new O-Line.

    3) Eagles: 2014 State Title Appearance / 2015 Reg-Semi's with a TON of starter injuries!

Still went 5-0 District and built an obscene amount of depth resulting in:  16 RETURNING STARTERS!!  7 Offense / 9 Defense

    4) Rivalry Game in Newton

Just a few things and again, not a knock on Kats.

Just my opinion and I hope it turns out to be a hell of a football game, but Im sticking to the call.

    I love rivalries.  Who doesn't!!

Yes they hv a ton back from last year an they'll make a deep run if not state.. But remember we're talking about 15, 16 an 17 year old kids anything can happen

I hope he is I don't want any excuses when they shut him down Friday. Don't wanna hear anything about some injury or something keeping him from being 100 percent. I'm fired up for the game better get there early so you get a seat. I have a feeli gonna put on a show.
