  1. Lol... vaccines weren't the problem until the Dems got elected. "Operation Warp Speed" should have been reason enough to get Trump re-elected, right? The facts remain that the virus was defeated by God and good vaccines. If you argue with either of those two reasons, you're wrong, IMO. If you lined up for 187 vaccinations during basic training but thing our military shouldn't have to take the Covid vax, you don't have a problem with mandated vaccinations, you have a problem with you political reasonings interfering with your good sense. I remember when only liberal fruitcakes refused to have their kids vaccinated and y'all didn't want those hippy kids going to school with your kids. Even though most of you are morbidly obese, eat like over-the-road truck drivers, and do whatever the complete opposite of exercise is. Gotta think about your health before taking a vaccine, though. BTW.... whatever happened to all of those conservative researchers that "proved" the covid vaccine caused your blood cells to mutate, contained dead baby parts, and tiny microchips? I miss those guys.
  2. Well, we could have beaten them with anybody but Trump.... but "we" weren't having that. So enjoy your Harris Presidency.
  3. Oh.... and all of those charges y'all planned on hanging on "The Big Guy?" He was immune as VP, too.
  4. Yeah... they kinda made a big ol' poop sandwich when they nominated a VP solely based on her race and gender. That's not just some conspiracy theory, that's what Biden said he was gonna do, and he did. Now the Ds are gonna have to sit down at the table and take a big ol' bite. But at least she'll have immunity as the President if she gets out of line, lol.
  5. It's more than just 15 minutes... the inspectors always find something that MUST be repaired before it'll pass inspection. If you decline the work, they still charge you for a failed inspection... you can return after you make the "needed" repairs and they'll sticker it for free, but where's the fun in that? "You're gonna need some new wiper blades... that'll be 74.95. That brings your total to $98.76 today." Like I said... the farm truck could use a set of tires but "a few thousand more miles" actually means "a few more years" when you average 2500 miles per year, max. I just don't want to lay down $1500 for a set of tires just to get my inspection so I can get my registration renewed for the few times a year I need to go to town for diesel or whatever. By my math, it would be cheaper to just risk it until January.
  6. I'm just saying.... if the left wants to scream about how another Trump Presidency will be the end of our Democracy (scare tactic, right?) then the Supreme Court comes out with some complete BS about a President having immunity for criminal wrongdoings (which is nowhere in our Constitution... you know, the one that the Right loves so much).... then you have the President coming out and claiming Presidential immunity for actions taken to remain in power after getting his big fat S turned red in the election... while simultaneously calling for congressional members who oppose Trump to be brought before a military tribunal under charges of treason? How very Saddam Hussein of him. Well, maybe that Democrat scare tactic isn't just "the sky is falling" after all. The Rs in the Senate failed America when they didn't convict Trump in that second impeachment trial. It let the Red Hatted Fools push to renominate him again (after he tried to halt the peaceful transfer of power last time) and now we're all going to be worse off for it. Because the next time a "d" gets into office, they're going to take full advantage of the new immunity the conservative justices just created for them. What SHOULD have happened is that this ACTIVIST supreme court should have stayed away from creating new laws (Like they did with Roe v Wade, and are now doing with this verdict on Presidential Immunity), then heard the appeal of a Trump conviction in this case on Constitutional grounds... you know, the kind of grounds that the SC was created to interpret. The President shouldn't be finding himself in Federal Court, in front of an activist Judge, fighting for his freedom on baseless charges. But you don't fix that by giving a President free rein to do whatever criminal acts he wants. By the Supreme Court (and Trump's) logic, if Joe Biden ordered the murder of Trump tomorrow, he would be immune from prosecution because it was an act that he (Biden) believed was in the best interest of the country. That's scary.
  7. From the article you didn’t read: “When pressed by Collins whether using a "false slates of electors" would constitute enough for a trial, Scharf (Trump’s attorney) denied that the Trump team had used false slates and said using "alternate slates" was an "official act." If Trump’s attorney said it on Trump’s behalf in relation to another criminal case in which Trump will refuse to testify, then yes… that’s Trump’s position.
  8. Trump is already claiming that trying to overturn the election was “official.” [Hidden Content] While simultaneously calling for Liz Cheney to be brought up on Treason charges. [Hidden Content] This is going to go badly.
  9. I’m kinda grumpy… this law won’t go into effect until January, but my registration (and therefore inspection) are due now. But they’re going to say that I need new tires… I’m down, bad.
  10. Just remember… for every action, there is an equal an opposite reaction. The rules won’t apply for democrat presidents, either.
  11. From wiki: In Democratic National Conventions, superdelegates—described in formal party rules as the party leaders and elected official (PLEO) category—make up slightly under 15% of all convention delegates. Before 2018, Democratic superdelegates were free to support any candidate for the presidential nomination in all rounds of balloting. (This contrasts with pledged delegates, who were selected based on the party presidential primaries and caucuses in each U.S. state, in which voters choose among candidates for the party's presidential nomination.) In 2018, the Democratic National Committee reduced the influence of superdelegates by barring them from voting on the first ballot at the Democratic National Convention, allowing them to vote only in a contested convention. The problem as I understand it is that a candidate needs 1,976 delegates to lock down the nomination, and Biden already 3,894 delegates pledged to him. There won't be contest at the convention if the delegates vote the way that they're pledged to do... and supposedly they have no ability to change their vote to another candidate. [Hidden Content]
  12. My understanding of the situation is that Biden already has more than enough pledged delegates to win the Dem nomination, and there’s no mechanism within the DNC rules to “sub in” a different candidate. The only option for Biden to be replaced would be for Biden himself to decline the nomination and trigger a new candidate to be elected during the D convention in August-this is what I expect to see happen. But there would doubtlessly be a bloodbath during that selection process. People who believe Harris should be the nominee, moderates vs radicals, and the fact would remain that the dem voters won’t have a say in the eventual nomination. It’s a mess. It also seems like Biden has no plans to step down after the debate disaster.
  13. I think even she would have a decent shot if not for her age. I think she was a victim of her own success with the media in 2016. I think a lot of people believed that she had it in the bag so they no-showed on Election Day. But you don’t have to worry because once a major political party throws its weight behind a candidate but he/she loses… they don’t get another chance. except for Trump.
  14. Because legal fees paid to an attorney are tax deductible, and hush money payments are not. But since Trump didn’t keep legitimate financial records, no one knows where the money paid to Stormy originated. Once again, campaign contributions have to be spent and documented in a particular manner…. IF trump used campaign funds to pay off an individual, this campaign finance reports HAVE TO reflect that. It’s federal law.
  15. Yep.., and republicans will be handing him/her the presidency on a silver platter by nominating Trump, who we already know can’t beat anybody.
  16. Here’s the bigger problem, as I see it. Trump didn’t look great at that debate, either, but the optics were heavily in his favor because Biden did HORRIBLE. Does anybody on the right want to see President Newsome? Because he’s up by somewhere near 15 points over Trump in current polling. Biden may be terrible, but the majority of Americans don’t want Trump. If there’s an option that isn’t Biden, Trump is in big trouble. I was astounded that 33% of people polled felt like Biden won the debate. I was like “what the hell were you watching,” then I had a little bit of a revelation. Somebody on X (formerly known as Twitter) tweeted that they would “vote for Biden’s head in a jar” before they’d ever vote for Trump. If the Ds give people an option, they’re gonna take it. It’s a long ways to November.
  17. Free ride? They impeached him for lying about it! At one point they were taking pictures of his genitals as evidence in different proceedings. The Dems might have given him the same pass that the Rs are giving to Trump, but a Clinton didn’t get a free ride. But you do have to wonder why Trump didn’t get up at his hush money trial and convince the jury that he’d “never had sex with that woman… Miss Daniels.” Because he wasn’t about to perjure himself. I’m confident that, much like Lewinsky, Daniels had proof of her encounter with Trump.
  18. Clinton lied… he admitted that he lied. We all know that he lies (or lied… who knows?). On the other hand, Trump tells lie after lie, and his supporters are like “well, we all know that the economy wasn’t the best ever, but Trump just likes to exaggerate and use hyperbole.” Every single legal scholar was NOT in favor of returning abortion decisions back to the states. “Half of legal scholars” is probably a more accurate statement, but can’t be proven… but “all legal scholars” is instantly proven to be a lie. For whoever keeps posting “what lies?” The biggest lie of all was that there was widespread election fraud. He still repeats it to this day when there has never been one shred of proof that election fraud occurred. Just because he (and most of you) believe in it as much as you believe that Jesus Christ died for our sins doesn’t make it true. The actual truth is that the economy was doing pretty good during the first part of Trump’s administration, even if it was unsustainable because of ballooning deficits/debt. But the. COVID happened on his watch…. And as much as y’all would like to blame it on democrat governors for shutting down their states… most governors are Republican AND they couldn’t have shut things down if trump wasn’t signing spending bills that gave out trillions frivolously. Even if you want to blame everyone else, then you have to admit that trump was powerless to stop it from happening.
  19. FWIW, not EVERYBODY was in favor of moving the decision to the states, lol. I’m telling you… this is the most sensible thing I’ve ever heard him say. And for those “I could never vote for someone who supports the murder of children” people…. Ya boi is down with it.
  20. There was a lot of chatter and i don’t remember the specifics. In my mind those Uber-progressive “restrictions” were either I response to, or the cause of, the hard push from the right to get Roe v Wade overturned. I liked the way that Trump framed his beliefs (exceptions to abortion bans for specified reasons… rape, incest, health of the mother). His beliefs don’t line up with the radical right on the issue and for once it looked like he thought and tried to articulate his actual opinion instead of appeasing his followers. THAT dude would have more support.
  21. And for what it’s worth, can we stop calling something we don’t agree with “a lie?” That’s literally what people are doing now, media included. If Trump says “I don’t think climate change is that big of a deal, some tree hugger will yell “he’s a liar!” And the talking heads will put another tic mark on the lie list. I saw the other day where some jerk researched trump’s presidency and said “he averaged 21 lies per day.” I agree that he’s a liar, but come on… 21 per day? They’re like “…then Trump said Biden is doing a bad job… another lie.”
  22. That’s not a lie… in the buildup to the reversal of Roe v Wade, some states (like Texas) were putting in very restrictive abortion bans that would take effect on the off chance that Roe v Wade was overturned. Other states (like Virginia) set in place rules even less restrictive than the ones in Roe v Wade…. And the Governor of Virginia was proud to say that abortion was legal right up until the baby was born. [Hidden Content] FWIW, a state rep from Va authored a bill that would loosen restriction. Asked to clarify, she said that a woman who was actively dialated would be able to request an abortion. After an uproar, she backtracked. [Hidden Content] The headline of the article incorrectly states that trump’s statement was a lie… it’s not, IMO.
  23. I’m not talking about today… I’m saying that IF Trump gets elected (which I doubt), the universe basically ensures that he (Trump) will be in even worse shape than Biden by the end of his term, if such a thing as karma actually exists…. That’s just the risk of mocking an old dude, while simultaneously picking an old dude to take his place.
  24. Hear me out… Biden has been greatly diminished over the last four years. That’s painfully obvious. Age is relative. One person at 75 can mirror somebody else at 81… heck, a fifty-six year old with early onset dementia behaves like 81-year old Biden. But if there’s one thing I’m sure of, Karma exists, what comes around goes around, and the people calling names and laughing at Biden while simultaneously nominating an equally geriatric candidate will no doubt get a taste of their own medicine if he gets elected. It’s just the way that the world works.
  25. I'm curious how many other people felt that way. I think the Ds have no other choice but to move Biden out of the way.
