  1. Jasper might make it out of the first round. They got handled by unranked 3A Diboll... Jeez.
  2. “I’m rubber, you’re glue......” 🤡
  3. Not if they went West to Woodville first. Reading is fundamental, my un-traveled brother.
  4. Sorry.... I was just mixing it up a little. In the past I've accused JISD buses of going west to Woodville and then south to Lumberton just to avoid driving through Silsbee. And I accused Officer Barbrady of canceling the elementary school's spelling BEE just to avoid any negative reactions. But I am glad that Mrs. Barbray has you to take up for her. I'm not sure her old man would, lol. ^satire.....just a joke.... calm down.....^ Why do y'all make me act like this? Jeez.
  5. Mrs Barbray be shopping at the Lufkin Mall because she skurred to drive through Silsbee on the way to Parkdale. Tigers got the whole town shook.
  6. They were counting moral victories, too.
  7. Lumberton should win this one on paper. Maybe we catch the Raiders sleeping.... I don't know.
  8. Upper number for 4A D2 was 789 at last realignment. BC turning in 796 today. It would be nice if we could drop down to 4A D2, but I have a bad feeling we'll just stick around as the smallest school in 4AD1. Once more, I'd rather be out-athleted by Silsbee and WOS that sat on by a bunch of fat kids in Lumberton, Livingston, Splendora, Huffman, etc....
  9. I think it’s only going to get worse. Higher taxes from the bond issue make it harder for young families (you know, the ones with school-aged kids) to afford housing inside NISD.
  10. I guess you can’t remember back when I was mikelbene, either.

    You’re not even close, Mikey.

  11. And for the record, I’m not scared of you. I’m Mike Sanchez, and we can take this up outside any time that you’d like.
  12. Oh my gosh! Your dad was the pipeline welder and your mom had special needs but still became a teacher! I definitely didn’t badmouth your folks... I’m proud of all that they accomplished in spite of all of the hardships they’ve faced in addition to having an absolute tool for a kid. I don’t know how they did it.
  13. Nice work.... except exactly nobody got convicted of anything. You see, that's how it works. Anybody can print news article filled with "allegations" and dummies like yourself will believe it. Do you know what they crime is committed when someone files a lawsuit that is full of half truths and whole lies? I'll give you a hint... it isn't a crime. Any person can walk into a district clerk's office in any county in the state of Texas and file a suit alleging that aki1994 knew about a rape and by your own belief system you should be fired from whatever job you hold that very day and never allowed to work again. Period. No questions asked. Why do you suppose that Baylor scratched a check to Briles for 15 million dollars? Do you really thing that a University with one of the MOST prestigious law schools in the country and deep-pocketed alumni is scared of the prospect of a lawsuit? Ha! The only thing that Baylor was scared of is how much money Briles would have received if they had actually made it to court... so they settled for $15 million based on the wrongs that were done to him. Why do you suppose a man with all of his earnings, plus a $15 million dollar settlement would be coaching kids out in Mr. Vernon, Texas? Because he really, REALLY wants to make sure that you men are still provided an opportunity to gang rape dozens and dozens of women per year? Or because he's a coach and a teacher.... and a fine one at that. I just hope that you are never treated as badly as you treat others. Hypocrite.
  14. No, I think the idiot is the you.... the guy who wants to see an innocent man crucified. The only "horrible things" that happened were the false allegations made against the players and the program. Let it go, bro...
  15. Or a baseball program needing the spotlight, lol. We hired a recent state finalist HC to be an assistant with our baseball program. Our football program could be described as a backyard tire fire. No offense intended, of course. Have you seen the new turf on our diamond? A GOOD coach will make difference in year one if talent is static and the kids/community buy in.... the improvement is more noticeable if the previous coaching was subpar. It's also laughable when an outgoing coach wants to take credit for the new coach's success.... I've seen it happen.
  16. Brock was another one I thought of .... but again, that's an affluent area vs. what BU's environment looks like.
  17. I agree slightly, but there are tons of new schools where growth is occurring that are killin' it out of the gate. I wish I had the answers.
  18. Day one.... You'd better hit the ground running.
  19. I read an interview with Adrian Peterson... He was in Palestine right after CT left. He mentioned that CT had kinda said that kids in Palestine couldn't handle the "Mustang Way" and that had a big impact on pushing Peterson to achieve. It's tough, man... kids have to be compliant with the program and if the kids have never been compliant (and possibly have non-compliant role models around the house), it's hard to coach 'em up. But you're right... winning fixes lots of that stuff.
  20. Nah... half of the team would have quit. It takes a special community to handle a tough coach. I know we couldn’t. Palestine couldn’t take CT. I’ve got a feeling that the community over there wouldn’t tolerate a no-bs football guy. I hope that I end up getting proven wrong.
  21. True in some cases... but def not all. Every school has athletes who never manage to contribute because of their personal “extracurriculars.” We’ve has our share over in lily-white BC. My GUESS is that there is tons of talent that never gets developed or sees the field at BU. That’s unfortunate. But I doubt it’s because anybody had to choose between football practice and sacking groceries at Market Basket. I also felt like BISD admin was more concerned with making a “statement” hire when they selected BU’s first coach. There’s something to be said about hiring the best guy you can get vs hiring somebody who has a lot of intangible qualities... of which being a top-notch football coach isn’t one. Personally I’d love to see BU roll over WB, but it hasn’t happened yet.
  22. What’s the average salary of a Newton household versus a Beaumont household? I know it would be convenient to try and blame “privilege” again, but you’re wasting your time. It’s coaching and parenting primarily in my opinion. Definitely not a talent issue.
