For whatever it was worth, we had the best defense yardwise and scoringwise in the district. We ran into a team that averaged almost 50 ppg and with a stud rb that's been running circles against everyone that he's faced. It was the worst possible matchup that Central could have gotten and it showed. Now the district was down, maybe, but I can ONLY speak for Central. And they were as talented as any Central team over the years.
I agree with you BSoulja, but when a player is having an unbelievable night rushing the football in the PLAYOFFS...you put all 11 players in the box if you have to...lol...and make them THROW the football. And like you said, this was one of the most talented teams that Central had in years...so what was the problem?
-
True, I don't see any more coaches getting hired over there for the next two years for any of the BISD schools until the BOM turns the keys back over to a regular school board. (hopefully not the same school board).
ummm. I don't think there is a problem with hiring coaches. I think someone says that Central has 16 or so correct? How does that happen? It is clearly not a fair playing field. Same district, same classification, same number of coaches right? If it is not the same then why shouldn't it be the same. Does Ozen have a shortage of teachers? I am sure they do like everyone else. Please don't give me the excuse that they were already hired. Who approves coaches to coach?

I hate to say it, but I am beginning to feel like I support That Other TX Team. I may be going back to being a Cowboy fan again.

I like rewarding the District Champion home field. It rewards the team for achieving their first goal of the season. The 4th place team in each district, who should not have made the playoffs anyway, should have to go to the first place team's home field. It also allows more venues for the other playoff games.

Hopefully, Foreman will make the proper adjustments tonight in this game unlike he did against Nederland... if he doesn't...the Jaguar faithful will be discussing getting his replacement ready because we all know that they are the most talented team in 22-5A...A lost to Nederland and Ozen back to back would be similar to the losses the basketball team had last year when several Jag supporters marched down to the administration building in an attempt to replace Lee. Lee had the last laugh though by leading the team to the Final 4 in Austin...LOL...

Central's side usually has pretty good attendance for all of their games as long as the team is competitive. People that graduated in the early years of its existence are now watching their kids play. Ozen hasn't gotten to that point yet due to it being about 14 years old.
Ozen has fairweather fans...The attendance at their games has dropped drastically. I remember when they had Jacoby Jones running for touchdowns all over the place, their attendance at their games was low. Central's band alone draws a huge crowd. Pear Orchard Panther01 and Sasquatch what has happened to the Pear Orchard fans and the Hebert Alumni crowd?

In response to Ozenfinest saying that the difference this year for Central defeating Nederland this year would be their coach. In my opinion, Foreman was severely outcoached by Neumann in the 2nd half. Nederland looked like an entirely different team in the 2nd half and made ADJUSTMENTS. Central clearly has more talent than anyone in District 22-5A but it did not equate to a win. I would not want to be the team to face Central this Friday.

Yeoj,
You were joking about washing vehicles and cutting lawn...Right?

Devwah Whaley, RB, of Beaumont Central has 13 offers as a junior. I believe 4 of the offers are from the SEC.

P.N.G. will when by as many points as they want.

BlkMamba...It is difficult to do those types of things when there have been 3 different systems ran at Ozen in the last 3 years. Are BISD's middle school coaches teaching fundamentals and feeding their high schools with the same system that the high school's are running? That's the big question. If the middle school coaches are running their feeder school's system, a kid is allowed to enroll in any high school so all of the system teaching is null and void.

Exactly Bmt Soldier, Brooks and Stowers left because of things outside of football. Neumann does not have to deal with that in Nederland. He has support from the entire city. The reality is that P.N.G. and Nederland are considered to be great coaching jobs. They both have one of the best little league support programs in the state. All the kids pretty much have bought in to the system in when they were in elementary school. They both have great support from the community and a great tradition.

West Brook's play calling is suspect and you would know that Northshore Dad if you attended the game on Friday. I think Channelview will score at will and West Brook will not be able to keep up.

We will see just how good the Dallas offensive line is against J.J. Watt and company. It amazes me how sports broadcasters jump on and off the bandwagon. Dallas is exactly who we think they are until they make the playoffs and win a couple of playoff games. Houston by 3.

What she did and what Ray Rice did will not be compared because he is a strong NFL player who hit a woman, and she is a female who hit children. Is it right? Maybe or maybe not...It is a matter of public opinion.

I agree with pe2009. There are not very many teams in the state who had a preseason schedule like North Shore.

I know that I am in the minority...but one high school in Beaumont in my opinion would be great for the city. There seems to be so much division... After all of the disgruntled folks upset because of the merger, I think the success of the sports teams would bring the city together as a whole, just as the successful combining of West Brook (Hebert and Forest Park) and Central (BCP and French). I think new programs would have to be implemented for student involvement, but if planned properly it could work. Allen has 6,000 students? Wow! ... Central, Ozen, and West Brook combined. #STATECHAMPIONS
