If the Tigers run defense doesn't get better, it will be another tough one for Silsbee.

I believe Coldspring will have a tougher defense than what Barbers Hill had so the Tigers will need to step up defensively to keep them in the game. Otherwise, could see a similar score like the Barbers Hill game, with Silsbee on the short end again.

Kirbyville would not hang with Tatum

Why come they cant?? Newton not good hell Kirbyville totally dominated Newton in that scrimmage. And from what I saw they're not very good this year. Tatum would have their hands full playing Kirbyville. Newton gonna have a long season with those 21 seniors. Next year they really gonna got problems...smh

Bridge City is a young team and will steadily get better. Kirbyville looks good. Good luck to both in the future.

Kirbyville have a few freshman and sophomores on that squad. As a matter fact one of our linebacker is a freshman and was stunting all night keeping BC #10 running all night.

This might have been the best thing that could have happened to Newton. Glad they scheduled good teams. They better learn from it. Stay healthy and they will do well the rest of the season.

They are, but at least y'all didn't schedule cupcake teams. Shepherd used to be in our district along with Silsbee , Jasper and Coldspring.

#1 Ballard can flat out fly. Kid made it to regionals in track last season.

Bridge city just doesn't have much at all.. Ty Dennis is pretty decent and in a couple years could be really good.. Kirbyville looked good but not like 1980 said they would but hard to tell when playing against a team that just doesn't have the athletes
