This is going to be a really great week. Its the week that Nederland Ave. Officially takes the name of Bum Phillips.  My understanding is he will also be at the game. Hook up your seat belts because next week is going to be a good one.

You guys need to step it up over here, we are up to 18 pages on the Vidor / Nederland game thread. We know you PNG guys can bring it so whats holding you back?

It's real simple, we only have one rival I guess we will have to get the mayors of Nederland and Port Neches to declare an official rival day. It has always been a great game with Vidor but you can't come to the dance!

We have a young O line that is just now learning how to run block. In the 4th quarter against BH they finally started to open up some holes. It may not be this week, but when they get it together they are big enough to make some serious noise. I wouldn't take this group to lightly, you may not like the results!

Does anyone know if our smallish TE is going to be ready Friday? After reading all these pages about how bad Vidor is going to stomp us I hope we can get him back on the field to help slow down that killer rush!

Well we have finally made it to the actual week of the game. It should be a great one but with the events of this past weekend one that should be kept in the proper perspective.

Yep, you make to many bad calls and you will be working on Tuesdays and Thursdays!

bigdog it's the officiating in MC don't you know, no one except BH gets the calls in Nederland! If they brought their own officials and lost it would still be the officials fault!

The bottom line is if you don't want someone saying this stuff about your son, daughter, or friends then don't say it about someone else. You can have fun without all the trash talk about the persons town or players.

Yep, the game will probably be boring after all of this.

You have it, when other folks want to move in on our rivalry no way, this is a special one, too many family ties on both sides of the tracks.

The game will not last as long as this thread has, 11 pages in 5 days and we still have more than a week to go.

We don't hate you bandkid.....we just don't like purple.

I think they should do away with the open weeks, if they don't want to play a varsity game then let the cheerleaders play flag and let everyone have a week of talking real trash!

Vidor always plays hard for four quarters, its always a good game but rivalry.......nope not even close.

What upsets us is the fact that you are trying to move into territory that is not Jones to move into......there is now and forever only one rival for the Bulldogs like the Preacher said at the wedding one and only one. There is only two standing in front of the Preacher not three. If you want to be a rival of the Bulldogs, move to Port Neches.

We had a RB score on a screen play from about 35 yards with forty seconds left in the game and the play was called back due to a lineman down field. (Lineman can be down field if the receiver is behind the line of scrimmage) Which I have video of the play and the RB was two yards behind the line of scrimmage when he caught the ball. We ended up losing by four pts. I say Vidor wins this year in a close hard fought game but Vidor has a running game to eat up the clock and keep Nederlands defense on the field a lot. [/quote] You guys always say the same thing, the officiating is against us in Mid-County, obviously you weren't at the game last night because most all the calls went against us so you may want to rethink your strategy!

No disrespect to Raines, but this kid has a better release, sees the field faster and delivers the ball, I don't see Vidor getting anything but a tougher time playing pass defense. I hope Raines returns for Vidor, he deserves the start he paid for it but if he don't I think Vidor is in for a worse time if the Coaches don't screw Woods up it could be we have to much time before the next game!
